Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

OK, the final product is here.  smile

Gandalf has arrived on the scene (with his wooden staff!) and is about to break up the party!

Be aware that the blade laying on top of the stone is Orcrist - which is why the Great Goblin is in such a fury!  Have fun.

Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

Hi George !
This diorama is a picture of one great idea. Excellent. Just make footprints in the snow. Just to look a little more realistic. big_smile

Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

A great piece of mount Gundabad (I suppose), George. Looks amazing good. A nice composition as well.
BUT, that snow diorama is marvellous. Absolutely fantastic mood. Nice orc-conversions also.
Brilliant work, Master OA !!!! I like it very much.
PS: this is the day of short senteces. roll That´s why I am still asleep. Though I sit here at my office desk.

Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

Thanks everyone!

Christoph - I'm learning from the best!  I "stole" your idea of using natural rocks that I find.  In this case, my employer is missing a few rocks from around the side of the office building...  roll

Theobald - I used this "ballast" package from the railroad hobby store.  They make different types of rocks, effects, etc.  It's labeled as "Sleet/Snow."  The only problem is that it's not very "powdery."  It's kind of gritty.  But maybe that's more realistic for hard, semi-melting snow.

Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

George, I have realized that! big_smile  And I feel honoured. You see, the result of this "real" material is fantastic, isn´t it.
Keep on steeling . . . lol

Re: Original Aragorn - Back at Work Again

My daughter has a birthday on Tuesday.  So I painted these for her.  They're not my BEST work, but I think she'll like them.

Don't worry - she's getting video games too!  big_smile
