Estel's Walls of Minas Tirith

Here you can see some few shots from my scratch build construction of Minas Tirith in 2008/2009. This was a project I have long dreamed of. A cold and long winter allowed me to build this in some night sessions. I was very motivated, because I new the pregnancy of my wife would end with the coming of a new star in my life and then time for hobbying would be rare.

Until today I am very satisfied with that model, as it can be used for diorama purposes as well as for wargaming- that's the reason, why I did not want to exaggerate the height of the walls. The last 2 pictures do not reflect the natural look of the model, it is much better than my bad photgraphic abilities can produce.
I am not very pleased with the gate itself as it needs to look much more decorated but solid. It will need a revise some day. Any suggestions are welcome.

Please be aware, that I will not comment anything, only via PM.

A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king".

Re: Estel's Walls of Minas Tirith

He really built those walls for himself !!!!! Unbelievable!!!! Fantastic !!!!!!
So, beloved Master Estel is still here, but he stops narrating! Not a wrong decision . . .

Maybe the magic was the most powerful force in the world. But that was long ago.
The dragons are gone, the giants are dead and the children of the woods are forgotten.
