Non-Mithril but something very special in 1/72 scale!

I hope that you will not be offended with this post, but it's really something special and they have a very nice history!
The figures in 1/72 scale are sculpted by a Great sculptor of 1/72 figures (you can see some of them on my blog) and he made a "special sculpt" for me!
I received "only" 2 sets of 3 : Gandalf, Bilbo and Bill the Pony (not painted yet but I will do it very soon!)
It was difficult for me to paint them because:
-I didn't want to do a bad work
-a 15mm Bilbo with such details is not particularly easy
... and I didn't want that the gift of a friend could be ruined by my hands ...mad

a pleasure ??? it's indescribable ! roll
Alex (the sculptor) is an incredible man, he's very modest and humble, but his work is incredible!
sculpting so small and beautiful details at this scale is a master work!

1/72 is small so the painting work is different (and Bilbo is about 15mm!) than 28 or 32 mm.
In reality, I like painting the 28/32 because I could easily learn and improve my skill about shading and light.

for me, the most important is to have fun in painting what I like much !

To be honest, I am not fond of the Gandalf figure roll. The body proportion seems inaccurate for me (but is my personal point of view).
This fact doesn’t impair your painting skills dear Sam
