Arthadan's paintings

Hello all,

I'll post here all my painted miniatures, since all my colection is Middle-earth themed.

I'm now playing a skirmish game, so I'll be doing warbands of 6-9 miniatures. Today I was in a Rohirric mood:

It's a Wargames Factory viking with some putty here and there (mane, arms enlarged and fingers sculpted to grasp the weapon instead of holding it like a playmobil). Detail was soft, so it took some extra time to make him look good. However, I like the result and I have some more of this guys around (lucky me, I didn't buy a full box!) so I'll paint some more (probably some archers).

And here he is with a buddy, for scale comparison:

Re: Arthadan's paintings

I like this Viking figure in Rohan design and special Middle-earth look... smile also... great paint job, all compliments dear mithril friend... But I do not like one thing... and I never paint this on 32 mm figures.... eyes.... those figures are to small for such a big eyes...

Re: Arthadan's paintings

My last miniature, finally!

Prince August metal with a head swap. The original had a casting problem on the left side of his face, so I replaced it for another one as close as possible to the original.

Re: Arthadan's paintings

Thanks Master Erchamion!

I don't play anymore due to lack of time, but I wouldn't say no to a nice skirmish game, be it SAGA, Song of Blades and Heroes or something else.

Re: Arthadan's paintings

I will soon begin to play "Musket & Tomahawk". And we'd play Saga in my club a little later ..... They are ideal for those who do not have much time to play/paint ..... wink

Thanks Gentlemen!

Master Thingol, the miniature is from Prince August, still on sale (RM2: Barbarian Fighter).

Re: Arthadan's paintings

Miniature is "BA3 - Barbarian fighter" from "Friends & Foes" PA range.  RM on blisters stands for "Ready Made"

I shall tell Michael that there are mistakes on PA web site about F&F references.
I feel that it is silly for a customer to correct the company references isn't it ? hmm

Re: Arthadan's paintings

Hi all!

I've finally finished this miniature I began in January (I'm that slow). It fell on his nose and I had to rescaulpt it (this is my second take) and it has ended up being too small.

I like the mud effect on the cloak and it looks like I'm improving my metals slowly.

Re: Arthadan's paintings

That looks great, Master Arthadan!
Especially the dust on the cloak is well done. Also the shading.
And don´t think you are slow. There are figures on my workbench I started before Christmas . . .
