Re: About CH11 Price August

Sorry, I was wrong, I think that the CH11 is a dwarf with a crossbow.I can't see it well because the base is filed. but I think so.
There are a few miniatures that I can't find here... a few dwarfs Knights ... the blacksmith (fantastic figure) or MS4(Nigromant) You can find this item in Ebay now http://www.ebay.es/sch/i.html?_nkw=+pri … m270.l1313

Re: About CH11 Price August

OK the dwarf with crossbow is the CH11, definitly ...  the others figures are "Friends & foes"

The miniatures I'm going to sell are Mithril oop 1988 - 1991 (very rare) and perhaps Prince August.

Nacho are you certain your dwarf with xbow is not this one ?  http://princeaugust.ie/680/index.html

as the dward in the middle has a crossbow indeed but this is a cast from mould 680 of Fantasy Army...

Ups... You're right, that's my dwarf.
But I don´t remember the other two dwarfs in my collection.I thought whe I bought the dwarf with the crossbow it was a single figure.
So, the CH11 still is a littje mystery.

Re: About CH11 Price August

Alas, I found it all and was very much relieved that I didn't throw it all away. (Sometimes I do tend to tidy rooms or doormats).
I found the moulds (sic) for the  OR 10,11,12 (which is one mould for the three orcs) once called Orc Berserkers (Orch Bäsärkare) 685 of the Fantasy Command). Luckily I also kept the sheets provided by Prince August together with the mould. Then there also is the single mould of the orc archer OR6 (which originally was called OR-6524). Then a lot of original casting-metal (35%).
Many orcs I casted myself with those moulds - though still unfinished and poor in quality, as I'm not a caster at all.
So, if there's interest, I could provide pictures or anything.
So far I never thought about those old PA series very much, as I didn't count them into Mithril-releases, that's why I didn't react to all these CH-Prince August queries here. But now I did. I still will keep my collection being focused on Mithril-releases as I cannot extend collections any more .... anyway, I was lucky today having found that old forgotten box in my cellar again ...

thank you Milo for bringing that back to my mind.

Re: About CH11 Price August

well master theobald, when I learned from the man that the CH and Friends and Foes were indeed his works...
when he was young and beginner... and considering I had finished my mithril collection but still am a collector in my mind... I had to look even before mithril...

now the friend and foes are a mess to collect so I only focus on the main, interesting ones... but the CH are no mould at all bu single or multiple cast only... I'll try to collect the whole set...

So far I have quite a lot of them... but I still miss a little dozen...

and as Nacho said.... CH11 is back to being a mystery... hehe

Re: About CH11 Price August

Yes, Master Gildor, I was aware of who sculpted the old CH Friends and Foes a long time ago ... and I also know what happened to them lately. So I'm really looking forward.
I only reacted to Master Milo's site.
Yes, Master Cameosis, but sometimes my spacious cellars tend to hide treasures. Though I am still aware of some (treasures, not cellars).

Re: About CH11 Price August

miniatures workshop is actually colin's site, he's a miniature collector and seller and had started a miniature wiki where we all can contribute, and milo completely reworked the mithril and prince august sections.

Re: About CH11 Price August

Yes it's true Master Cameosis, I did not create any wiki, sorry for using wrong words.wink
I subscribed to Colin's and added my contribution for mithril & Prince August, as Jason & you did before cool.

Now that  lists are complete except fiew unknow references, I am seeking ebay & google images to fill empty pictures.

Re: About CH11 Price August

Sorry, but I didn't know that ... as I really don't have the time to scroll all those web-pages. I simply linked the address Milo gave in one of his messages and recognized, that I know four figures of the "Prince August Gaming Fantasy armies releases" (25mm range). I still have the 'Mould guarantee'-sheet and the instruction manual about easy modelcasting by PA. Both were added to the sets of moulds. - I bought them at Hamleys (London) in those years when Hemlays sold PA and Mithril. - Right, that's some time ago by now (1989?). Anyway, if there's interest in details or pics contact me PM as I do not want to spoil the space here with this.

Re: About CH11 Price August

Chris worked for other companies and on 54mm roman figurines .... I have tried many times to get a list of all that the man has done here and there... it is quite impossible to get....
I took the personal decision not to include (now or in the future) any material linked to things too distant from Mithril

PA (CH and F&F) and Phaeton Design miniatures are closely related to Mithril so that fits... but the other ranges are too distant...

it would fit perfectly in Colin's wiki but not at all on MMP and Mithril Faerylands...

Re: About CH11 Price August

well, yes, that's right, Master Gildor. This is what I was a bit concerned about ... extending this site, which is called "Many Mithril Pages" too far. So, at the moment, there are also good-old PA things, sculpted by The Man, being discussed ... with that extension I nearly lost interest ... well, as you know me, I didn't ... also because I've seen a picture of that new CH3 ...
Then also I do really like the "Teutobuger Wald" - series and releases very much. I think I could help a bit if you really are interested in a list. But, as you pointed out, it wouldn't fit at all on MMP.
But why does CH and F&F fit here?
