On the way to Mount Doom

This is the second de-dusted diorama. A small one this time. I can not remember when I made it. Some 10 years ago.

"It was perilous for the hobbits to use such a path, but the needed speed, and frode felt that he could not face the toil of scrambling among the boulders or in the trackless glens of the Morgai. And he judged that northwards was, maybe, the way that their hunters would least expectect them to take. The road east to the plane, or the pass back westward, thot they would first search most thoroughly. Only when he was well north of the tower did he mean to turn and seek for some way to take him east, east on the last desperate stage of his journey. So now they crossed the stony bed and took the orc path, and for some time they marched along it. The cliffs at their left were overhung, and could not be seen from above; but the path made many bends, and at each bend they gripped their sword-hilts and went forward cautiously" (The return of te King. J.R.R. Tolkien)

Simply wonderful. - I would have to repeat my comment I just gave for the "captured Hobbits vignette".

Why, Gildor? - I simply enjoy that Master Ori is back again and found his time to dust some of his old dioramas.

Very nice... simple decoration... and great feeling.... I saw this diorama before... in 2007... images were then much darker. Mordor was presented with a good background.... smile

Vow, great memory!!! I am so glad that you remember it. Also, you made me remember that I used a picture from Teide volcano in the Canary islands as background. And you also made me remember that I had uploaded some pictures to coolminiornot.com long time ago and I managed to recover this picture after a few tries with my password:

I might give it another try to backgrounds... It looked good to me
