The Taproom

And here we are in the very accommodating and luxurious (new sawdust, no less!) taproom, where everyone can voice their views of anything they have a mind to - but always remember that if there's anything specific that may require more room in which to gesticulate and shout then you can open up a new topic strand in which to do so. We don't want the taproom to become overefilled with minutiae that can be discussed more meaningfully elsewhere!

As ever, rumours are especially welcome, Master Tree!

Re: The Taproom

Maybe I should accompany him. It will be a good occasion to see master Bombadil, it has been some times since I saw him. Any of you has heard of him?

Aaahhh, Bombadil, I have heard of him. Hopefully he'll stop by the Tap Room for a drink, good conversation, and a smoke.

Re: The Taproom

Huoooommmm .... thank you very much, Master Barliman. Hom. Now this nice place is familiar and very comfortable indeed .... huomm. Though I didn't wan to criticize any other room around.

Well as for Bombadil I'm just trying to contact him .... rhuoommm .... there are serious things to be considered ....
And as for rumours .... huooommm ... You asked for that, Master Barliman, I now found out that the MX is a rider, of course .... huomm ... yes, with all four horse's feet on the ground .... huoommm ... doesn't seem to be a hasty creature, methinks .... hom

Rumours don't need an audience, Master Tree. You just leave them here and we'll read them.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm ... what about facts, Master Barliman? .... huuoommm ... As I have been away for awhile it was not that your premises displeases me, not at all ... huuoomm ... I've been away to to find out about different matters ... rhuoommm ... that takes time, of course ... huommm ....
Talking with Master Edman, I recently met, I might pass his words here:
"I do not foresee any problem with TE approval with [-] We have a good idea what will pass:"
huoommmrhuooommm ... sounds good, doesn't it? ... huoommm ... at least 10 more figures are awaiting the approval ... huooomm so to say ... huooomm ....
I would have more rumours to spread .... but, alas, tired as I am by now ... just pass me a bowl of that honeyish- coloured water ... huooommmmmmmmmmm

Re: The Taproom

That'll be the Dol Amroth guys, I assume, since I mentioned that The Man had sent me pictures of several of them some time ago. Still, it's good to know they've progressed that far...Unless it's the long-awaited and much-rumoured Easterlings. Everything's gone quiet about them again lately.

Re: The Taproom

Fact is : the reward to the "paint your pirate" contest is the "next mithril release range" for free and first hand, which is clearly mentionned to be swan knights of dol amroth

Re: The Taproom

Hello everyone!
Why was the pony closed yesterday? I walked all the way for nothing and had to return home thirsty. Today is open, but nothing to drink eighter. Hmmm I guess it has to be self service today...

This is not my post!!

Re: The Taproom

well well , actually my provider had a little problem yesterday it seems. I could not even myself access any functionality of the site (no database, ni forum, no ftp, no webpages, and no sql....)  but they have put everything in order today.. EXCEPT one thing , rather important : the GD library... it may not mean a lot of things to you, suffice it to say it is the library of graphical functions. and thus the "Upload image" module and my database reference sheets... are messed up until they solve the problem. Thanksfully nothing has been lost at all, and anyway, I have backups.

Special image, and thumbnails generations are out of order for the time being, please do not post pictures on the forum and I apologize for all the references on the database that are not working well (all references without pictures are working well, only those with pics are messed up)

Some sort of unscheduled problem or maintenance it seems. It's the first time in three years...

Excellent - but are we talking about the Dol Amroth chaps or the mystery MX?

Now what about a bowl of that liquid, Master Barliman ... I produced more facts and rumours within the last weeks than anybody else here ... huommm ... I dare to say ... hom
Or are you still that keen on those coiny things?

Re: The Taproom

that's strange how things works at time.... a corsair army... after a corsair admiral....  knights of dol amroth (which tends to be marvellous, that would be the first set of "cavalry army" since the Knights of Rohan , long ago!  and like the corsairs need an admiral... I suppose those swan knights need a "twelth-or-so-elven" prince smile

Re: The Taproom

That sounds a good bet Gildor, but I won't wager anything just in case. wink

Well my Corsairs sailed in today along with the Troll Drummer and Aragorn and Eomer, but then so did the Heller La Real de France last week (I thought it lost in the post, but it is rather large (you did say so Barli) and will need quite a crew to compliment it so i'm busy press-ganging any spare Mithril figures from my boxes that look remotely like a Corsair ready to repatriate them aboard!!

The figures have lived up to expectations and I've already removed the bases although this lot are not destined for the ship.

Well in a short while I will have hopefully downloaded an image to the other thread so you can see what I have planned.

Re: The Taproom

The Man's Haradrim infantry would easily double as Corsairs.

Nice rumour, by the way, Master Tree! I hope you turn out to be as foresighted as some Elves I've known.

Re: The Taproom

Well I have heard the name of the MX dude will be Marhili. Hmm strange name actually. Maybe I didn't listen properly, or maybe I shouldn't have had this last scrumpy....

Re: The Taproom

"Marhili"  sounds like another early Eothraim name, like Marhari (TA 1776) or Marhwini (TA 1812).

Too bad I already know the answer.  Figuring it out would have been fun.
