If you make them as gifts without charge then you are not making a profit from another's work + MM do not produce clear Ring-bearer figures for just such ideas (gifts just happen to cost a lot more to ship ).
Technically (and there are forums devoted to the large scale figures I also collect/ed where members rant and rave about recasting) it is copyright I guess, but as I live in a 'Glass-house' and don't throw stones (Olde Bree proverb) , there is no way I could complete some of my dioramas without using a similar techniques to reproduce the dead orcs in them.
I would guess that as long as this is on a small scale no one gets upset, and some really nice, innovative ideas will appear .
May be wise not to publish on the main MM web gallery though.

... thanks for the tutorial and the proposition!
I thing that it's "private use" if they are given as gifts or used for a private work....
Maybe, I will buy the box, Mistress Séverine and I could give you the M62 for making copies?
(I will contact you by e-mail or phone)

I can send you my M62 Bilbo and let you do a mould for everyone who asks as I have very few spare time these days.
.It's very nice of you to send me your figurine M62. I just buy resin to make a new mold of this figure. Then I can make it for everyone wish for: there are already for you and Gildor. Who else would like Bilbo and Frodo invisible?
I would love to have this two too, Sevlag

Gentlemen, our little hobbits are almost ready, thanks to Master Milo and his M62. Some bubbles came ruin some achievements, but we finally arrived at an acceptable result, not perfect, but recognizable.
Please Master Imisel and Gildor, send me your address in my MP

Last Sunday, we were invited to present our dioramas to an exhibition that took place in my village.
Real artists were present, such as:
a cabinetmaker
a stone sculptor
a sculptor iron
And many others ....
and among these true artists, a small family presented his creations.
To prevent offending anyone, I will show you only my figurines ... this is the first time I spreads out them on a table : that's pretty impressive.
This is the first time that we exposed our hobby (and probably the last), but I loved this afternoon. In fact, people who came to see us have offered us very satisfying and encouraging comments. It was great. Even those who don't know the Tolkien's world enjoyed our dioramas. To share what for us is a pleasure, a hobby, is really rewarding.
And the coolest was to paint our figures by children who wanted to try ; and see their eyes light up when, in the end, we offer them their achievements

I've seen all the pictures on your blog, Mistress Severine and it was really impressive!
I have some regrets that I didn't can be with you: bad choice of date for me!
It's a very nice idea that you permit at some children to paint a figure and that you gave it !

Very nice to see... last time when I was put 1/6 part of my figures out of the shelf (one floor was supposed to be repaired ) on a single pad was a 3 pound of metal....

Bravo Séverine.
Great to see your mithrils all together here also.

Nothing looks better than a mass of Mithrils - hopefully this will not be the last time you display Séverine.

After 6 months of work, I wanted to show you my new creation, but I can not download my photos in the gallery.
So I present here (with old method), some pictures while waiting to put more photos in the gallery.
For those in a hurry, you can always go to my husband's blog where there are all the photos, and the creation step :

First, I wanted to thank Master Theobald, without whom this diorama would not exist.
Then, another thanks to Master Ori, which allowed me to start my project with valuable advices.
An unexpected party

Excelent work, Master Sevlag!
The small details of his work do we have to watch very carefully each pic. That corner of the garden with the vegetables I love it!

Thank you very much gentlemen. I do my best.
And you can't see the details because I can't upload images on the gallery, so I don't put many photos here... But wait and we'll see some little animals living in the garden
