Bilbo's fireside chair

Just made a Windsor chair for Bilbo's fireside out of styrene. An evening well spent.

Re: Bilbo's fireside chair

And it seems really comfortable!! Best of all, it seems to fit the model better than the original xD

If you have enough time would be great to know how did you made it ^^ and also keep us informed on how the project develops please!!

A very nice chair indeed. And, as Maenas said, it fits very well to the original figure.

Superb chair. It fits Bilbo's backside perfectly.

Re: Bilbo's fireside chair

Oh, just to comment, I was watching the return of the king movie yesterday night, and I saw that chair there ^^  Near the end of the movie, Frodo was sitting in a chair writing the end of the lord of the rings on the red book of hobbits. Is that chair from where you got your inspiration?
If it is you really got the feeling of it!!

Re: Bilbo's fireside chair

Very sorry to be so late in reviving this thread, and a belated thank you for all of the generous comments. The chair was based on that scene at the end of the movie.

The chair was made from sheet and rod styrene from the hobby shop. I make full-size wooden chairs as a hobby and used the same basic construction.

Here is the finished scene.
