Book I in mithril

Friends and foes of Mithril,

May I share some pictures I made, all scenes from Book I, all with Mithril figures I painted recently or long ago (you can see the difference). Exclusive pictures for these pages!

Let's start with some pictures from the Shire, when all was quiet and peace.

Re: Book I in mithril

Thanks guys.
The peace doesn't last for long. Soon the Dark Force - sorry - the servers of the Dark Lord are searching for a hobbit called 'Baggins!'.
The hobbits flee through the wood and meet the Black Riders and some mysterious Elves. Sam is delighted!

Re: Book I in mithril

It's very interesting to see your 'story' developing Gerold - I'm on a similar quest (but keep getting distracted smile) to do a similar project - the Farewell to Bree diorama being my first part albeit not in sequence.

So please keep yours coming and hopefully I will be inspired to 'pull my finger out' as we say in these parts.

Here the hobbits meet one of the Spirits.

But luckily, there is Tom Bombadil, just in time to save them! And there is his lovely wife, the daughter of the 'Riverwoman'. She loves the river as you can see.

Re: Book I in mithril

Hi folks
finally I got here again post some pictures
But to answer to your questions : the buildings I used in my last pictures, are handmade by someone who sold them on ebay, a few years ago. It was an opportunity I couldn't resist. So I'm afraid they are 'unique'.

I do have some other projects. Not just figures, but related to Mithril. I will show them soon...

But first new pictures of Breeg :

in this picture you will recognize (or not) an Inn model of another company in the fantasy branche...

Here we see the daughter of a nobleman saying goodbye to her lover Ranger. He's accompagnied by a Rohan rider, waiting to leave finally. And her father is keeping an eye on her from up the stairs. - I can't remember which company the house is from (bought on ebay).

Excellent Master Gerold.
I like the father upstairs very much. I am sure the ranger is very careful while talking to nobleman's daughter.lol

Re: Book I in mithril

Well seen Master Maenas, the M16 is the only figure I didn't paint myself. It was painted (and without a sword) when I bought it, in a figure store in Brussels, somewhere in 1995 I think, at the price of... 20 euros. I wasn't aware of the rareness of this figure, but a few weeks later the storekeeper told me he had heard that the M16 figure could reach prices of 125 euro in France.

Anyway, its getting dark in Breeg...

Did the Girl lose her sword Master Gerold
