Now deadline extension is better on my side. I will be back to paint as much as I can.

Re: Mithril Painter's League 02

Hello all! I have extended the deadline one week due to a hobbit party business xD hahahaha
No, seriously now, I extended it because everyone seemed to need it. I have already finished, but didn't had time to post the pics, but I will do (hope) this afternoon .

Master Archer I must say that your work is delicate as an elven bow's string. wink I reserve further comments till the rest of participants finish their works. ^^

I will edit this post, so I won't make a double post.... so here is my finished work:

I must improve my lighting, because the shines on the metal, the face and hair are completely burned by the light. Sorry about it ^^'

This is strange, I never had such problem. Did you try to upload + edit yours pics on computer before uploading on MMP ?

Sorry for being late. I could do more work on it, still I am happy with the result so I keep it as it is now.
Afterall, it's only my 2nd painting with no metallic paint.

Never used to get this problem. I have tried rotating and copying but.... I may have to post lopsided pictures as I may have other things to attend to over the next couple of days hmm

Master Turambar, I took the liberty to extend the deadline a week more, because some mates were struggling to end in time, I wrote it in the first line of my post, just before yours.... wink And also modified the first post of this thread to show the extension in time.

By the way, very nice work Milo from here it does not seem NMM so great result. And also a nice mini diorama Maese Daines.

Re: Mithril Painter's League 02

Sorry, more time for an explanation (unfortunately in-laws both very seriously ill so wasn't sure if I needed to be elsewhere).

At The Council of Elrond where Gandalf tells his tale of his search in the hoarded scrolls of Denethor, and it is described that Isildur stays awhile with his nephew Meneldil in Minas Anor and writes on  a scroll, describing The Ring and how it causes him pain..... (you'll have to read this yourselves as I ain't typing it all out big_smile).

So the scene is merely this point of the tale where Isildur, having written the scroll (on the desk top) is having a last look at it before departing to his fate, and The Ring starts its journey.

The scene was an excuse to use the stair/door base, and the figure.

Re: Mithril Painter's League 02

ok, here we go...

I didn't make any scenery for my entry, because my figure is intended to be part of an army, that will be painted in the same color pattern, so it can be used in games or in different battle scenes wink

Here are my pictures :

Re: Mithril Painter's League 02

Deadline is tomorrow (I extended the deadline last week), so there is still time for (Orc and Thingol) to finish up their respective projects till tomorrow. Although I recall Thingol stated in one of his posts he was not going to participate until the next league.

All way better than my own efforts. My favourite has to be Master Dave's vignette - sideways or not! - but they're all excellent.

No worries, real life has priority wink
Still, if you want to share your result it would be a pleasure so we all could see it and comment on it.

Very nice Master Orc, could I suggest that at least some future photos be taken from a lower angle so we can see the figure better wink
