Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

He certainly did win, on about my fifteenth attempt! But alas, I've heard nothing about him since. If anyone has heard any news at all I'd be even happier than Master Halbard to have an update!

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Hi there, I finally took a moment to make some update on the original post with all new suggestions and releases... indeed Mithril has a huge backlog to cover... they should do as they did in 2015 and make several months with single suggestion for two months, maybe a vignette or mounted figurine to adjust to the fact the vote and suggestion process would be longer.  but they really need to reduce this backlog

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

well, ents and elves have a very long lifespan I'm told smile Some Hobbits and Dunedain too wink

I don't know about humans from Bree but no doubt that with grumpy and some of the good cooking at the Poney you'll have an extensive lifespan too master innkeeper wink

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Well, I'm back from holidays and glad to see new releases have seen the light.
I added MZ634, MZ636 and MZ637 in MMP database. Master Gildor, it seems there is a mismatch for image on MZ637. Also, you referred MZ635 instead for Bombur in chronology. wink

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I corrected the chronology

there was a mismatch for MZ637 because the picture folder for a reference is created at the same time as the reference and it's created with the first name it was created with , if later you correct the reference because there was a mistake in it, it does not correct the folder name and thus creates a mismatch

apparently the MZ637 was first created as MZ635... so the picture folder was MZ635 and no picture could be uploaded for MZ637... i corrected in "hard" writing in FTP directories (renaming MZ635 folder as MZ637) and uploaded the pictures as a test, now it works smile

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

you're welcome wink still could we make a little checkpoint on the missing numbers / mithril holes ? I'd like to have some update on that hmm

as always the M546-550 meant for helm's deep part 4 is still missing

and then almost all holes have been filled except : 621 632 (aragorn mounted at mordor gates but earlier it was supposed to be Elfhelm ?) and 635  correct me if I'm wrong?

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

well as a coincidence, we just received a GF newsletter mentionning all those holes

so it appears Aragorn will finally be MZ640 and MZ632 will be Elfhelm as originally planned
MZ635 is Isengard Waymark Pillar
MZ638 is  the long awaited Deadman of Dunharrow
MZ639 is Elven Cartographer

they are to be released in september

I love the look of the Deadman of Dunharrow! I think Chris did an excellent job sculpting his look!

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

well that makes three undead from Dunharrow now (one horseman, the king of the dead himself, and an oathbreaker footman)  smile not enough to make an army but still, that makes quite a beginning for variety.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

well painting undeads from dunharrow the way I envision them is rather hard and requires a special paint I use specifically for it , a little mix of heavily diluted fluo green (lighted with yellow), in order to give them this spectral feeling while still being "corporeal" (like in the movies)

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

This last newsletter brought us many great news.... Dunharrow foot soldier look very good but information that we can expect many releases in very short time makes me sad... I'm a little bit "short" with investment potential :-/ till Christmas

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

but why has the Dunharrow deadman no shoes or boots?
All other clothes seem to be conserved, but no shoes...
Maybe it is a big undead Hobbit? lol

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

and Elfhelm will AT LAST see the light of days!!!

I updated the chronology. It seems the backlog is finally melting up....

Only MZ621 remains to be filled as a gap.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

"nothing special? !!! "

Are you serious?

Sorry, but in my opinion that is quite unfair to say.
The horse is beautifully sculpted, and the rider fits perfectly in all the Rohan line.

There is a good man in our rows waiting (and many others surely also, including me) over 2 years! for this release,
and then it is rated "nothing special"  OMG

Is that the result of the long waiting time?
how odd

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

the horse seems unique actually, it looks like the cape of Elfhelm carves into the hors bottom (assuming there are two pieces and not a single one, but the picture looks like there are two pieces)

also the rear right foot of the horse seems at an odd angle or is it me ? I am not a horse specialist

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

As Master Halbarad says, I've been awaiting this chap for a verrry long time, and I feel that the wait was worthwhile. I'm personally very pleased with him. Nice to see a new variety of Rohirrim shield too!
