Re: Project TMM 2020

Thank you. Glad you like it. It was a great project that required quite a bit of time for painting. The number of characters involved in the production is quite substantial. Today, I don't think I can, for lack of time and motivation, make such a skit. But an idea comes to me, why not make one with the different talents of each other (painters, model makers ...) on this forum? What do you think ? If you are ready, you will have to define a scene from the "lord of the rings" or "Bilbo" and define a small specification with who does what ...

Very tempting Master Fabrice JACOB. The problem being... I'm not a painter nor a model maker...

Dear hsf62, are you a pure collector ?
Have you managed to put all your figurines in a display case or do you keep them in their original blister ?
It seems that many of you are mostly pure collectors, isn't it ?

The problem being for me is that when I see such works (painting etc...), Master Holger and Master Fabrice, I feel like I'm also not a painter and nor a modeller... tongue

Of course, Fabrice it's a compliment for your 5* work ! smile

And also, it's a good idea trying to do a "community work" !
I've, some years ago, painted figures (1/72 scale) for a friend who is an experimented dioramas maker.
Now he paints his figures alone ! wink
But it was fine to see my figures in his diorama ! cool

On my side, my bigger pleasure remains to paint minis and build little dioramas.
I make Middle Earth dioramas with mithrils exclusively, this since 1988.

But, I am slow painter, and with real life, lack on time becomes the ennemy. My dream is to have all my minis painted and in tiny scenes.

When I came back on mithrils 10 years ago I became also a "furious" collector and I have even more pleasure finding treasures and helping others filling holes..

Well, This is what I would call a strong mithril addict isn't it ? roll

Re: Project TMM 2020

Master Holger : your re-casted M16 are absolutely beautiful ! I like both ...
and I'm impressed also with the fact that you used 2 very rare figures for doing those master-works !mad

Master Milo, being a "furious" collector is a sort of religion, isn't it ?
I've chosen to stop and sell the big part of mine, Mithril and other stuff (mainly 1/72).
I needed place and also, I realized that I never  could paint them all... sad
But nevertheless, I realize too that I would like to have some figures in double: one painted and one unpainted,
especially the Hobbits... so I continue the hunt for some of them. tongue

Seen her too ! The Gallery is full of treasures ! Perfect for an "honest thief" ...
I suppose that you have casted some of this M16 and some others for your personal use* (I mean *conversions of course... ) but I don't want to be intrusive ... neutral

Re: Project TMM 2020

Hi everybody,

I have never converted a Mithril and I am very happy to be able to admire your respective works. Each of us has a talent that he tries to exploit to the best.

Milo: Do you plan to come to Nantes for the TMM ?

Sam Wise: I have very many doubles or triples in my possession, having inherited the Jacques collection, if I can make you happy ...

Well ... thanks but for the talent, I think that I'm far from many "casters" and painters !
But what's important for me is to have fun !

Thanks also for the proposition !
In fact, it's a short list of figures that I would like to have in double : one painted and one unpainted  ( mostly hobbits ).
I will see exactly what is missing ...
For sure M61, M348 M356 M445 (I've one painted but I'm in love with this figure ! she's becoming very rare !) ....
I will buy  new ones on the webshop.. (MS608 & MZ624 )
