Re: The Travelling Elrond

Do you think it's possible that Elrond will meet Strider at ODO 2022 ?
It would be really great.
Even more if they met their creative father there !
An idea that I want to exploit ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

This is fine idea but with this tempo he will be in Nantes at spring 2025.

Agreed, that would be more accurate than 2022, if we are to respect the actual list order... xD

Exploring ideas around Elrond visitng ODO:
My thoughts on this are that I like Fabrice's idea, but I really don't think it's fair for those who haven't hosted Elrond, IF we are to respect the list as it is now. Because this means that each member that appears on the list (including Gavin), should commit to host Elrond for less than two months, including mailing time transits! It sounds like that would be stressful even for Elrond.

On the other hand, another way to solve this "timing" issue without altering the list would be that ODO became a place to change Elrond's hosts... so instead of sending Elrond by mail, he would be changing hosts on the event. This way the list remains unaffected and Elrond could make a "red carpet" appearance.... But this idea implies that those two members should assist to the event, of course... and I am not sure if each one on the list could commit to that idea and on those chosen days.

A second thought on this would be Chris T. confirming his assistance to the event, then I would say Elrond's assistance should became almost mandatory. So Chris could check how far and how long has his "son" travelled and even maybe, he could write a note or make a sketch on Elrond's diary book.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

When I was host to Elrond, I picked up him in person in Bochum when I visited Master Archer, and he was in Poreč less than two months, before I sent it to Korb (back to Germany to Holger) so it is possible to organize that the Elrond come to France till 2022...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well,
After Gavin, I am next on the list and I will attend also to ODO.
If relevant, I agree to be "postponed" as I could wait until ODO to meet Elrond and travel with him at home.

Who is behind me on the list and will attend also to ODO?

Speaking of Traveling Elrond, I was thinking of making an instagram page for him, (because he's cool and an influencer)

I can share the username and password around so we can keep the story going.

Open a retroactive instagram profile after 10 years of traveling looks challenging ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

It can be fun, and "he" can share mixed things from the past and the present to fill his feed/stories... And also a way to externalise a beautiful initiative started very long years ago. Not sure if it would be worth it, but maybe starting a poll to decide if it is done or not could be nice so at least we all could know what the other members think about it. Or simply, just comment your thoughts (to all  members) here. smile

Re: The Travelling Elrond

So who will be administrator of Elrond profile in Instagram, and who will put there all his photos from previous travels... ?
... and we need to open profile on this social network to follow him...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I am not on social media, but I think this a very cool idea--especially for sharing pictures! Maybe I get an instagram account just to follow Elrond
