Post diorama pics here

Here is a corner of the website just for those who like to make scenes with their Mithrils.  Please post a pic (or pics) of the diorama and include a description and/or a relevant quote.

I'll post a pic or two here tomorrow.

Re: Post diorama pics here

I guess this is the thread where I'd best post most of my images from now on in roll.

Still a fantastic little scene with the fox Wendy as is Bilbo waiting for Gollum.

Raiders of Umbar

Somewhere on the shores of Gondor a raiding party of Corsairs lands.......

Boat is a Viking ship, (Drakensberg? something like that), which was converted.

These have been posted elsewhere but as this is a gallery for dioramas I've repeated the image.

Re: Post diorama pics here

My Pleasure Master Ent, there will be more when I can sort the images out smile, I am now going to make a concious effort to paint up a few Mithrils, and your suggestion in the GF suggestions has sown the seeds of a very interesting idea for me, but I must try and put some of these ideas into practice instead of just coming up with them roll

I hope to also post a picture soon of a diorama which just needs a final addition (it has been long complete, and only partly seen by Ori, but I've just thought of something which would make it very relevant to this site), but it should bring a smile to the 'regulars' I hope.

That sounds very interesting, David. Once more that the curiosity becomes more and more unbearable . . .
I just can´t wait to see it . . .  tongue

I do envy you, David, about two things. First your skill and then the time you find to do and paint all that. Keep on. smile

Just downloading some Prancing Pony images. This diorama is actually several years old and the figures painted even longer ago. I haven't been able to photgraph it properly before because of the ceiling which got in the way.

I have now removed the ceiling (to let the Ent in!!! wink), so hopefully you can see a bit better.

The actual scene is illuminated by little bulbs and fibre optics (not shown).

I think it needs some 'dirtying' down especially the floor looks too clean, and the Ent is just visiting!!!!!

Re: Post diorama pics here

I agree to Holger, completely. The expactions have been fulfilled, Mr. David Daines. Congratulations ! Especially the Ent is absolutely great. I really like this part. There are also lots of things to be recocnized: bottles, plates, little barrels of...cidre? tongue Fantastic stuff.
Also the candle ( ... seems to me, like a candle in the . . . ). That´s the point why I give up to build the prancing pony: the little goodies.
Where is the source to get them . . . ?
BUT: to be critical, because this forum should not be use as a pool of pink approvals big_smile : as mentioned above. I agree to Holger, completely. The pony should make a more darker effect wink
