Converted Eorl figure

Someone asked me for close ups of the Eadmund/Eorl conversion.

Well, here he is, in all his over-cast daylight illuminated glory:

Re: Converted Eorl figure

THAT WAS ME, Gavin. Patience will be rewarded . . .
Thanks Gavin for posting the pics !  A great piece of work that is. The colour of the horse corresponds very well to the line of colour you take for the figure.
Very harmonic. That´s the way it should it be, isn´t it.
Also the shield design is pleasing me . . . I am just making my mind up . . .
Another detail: the wall in the background. Looks good, that piece!

OH, PS: why did you change the horse? In case of the headgear?

Maybe the magic was the most powerful force in the world. But that was long ago.
The dragons are gone, the giants are dead and the children of the woods are forgotten.

Re: Converted Eorl figure

Well, Eorl was famous for riding a mearas without bridle or harness...

and this isn't Eorl. He's a War of the Ring era character. So while the "look" is right - a young looking, mailed, Rohir warrior, I didn't want to make him a "straight" repaint. So now this character is riding a normal enough horse to war.

Eventually I'll get another Eorl and paint him as such.
