Re: The Travelling Elrond

Huom ... I just took out all them Elronds from various places ... so I can confirm Gildor's database. There are 10 (+the Travelling Elrond, which is a different matter). So, ten versions there are. Unfortunately most of them have been painted by me. The M230 and M338 have blonde hair (!) ... that really was a long time ago when I did this ... maybe I can find the time to correct these slight mistakes before yule-tide

Elronds are.
M2, M143, MS226, M230, M270, M338, LR6, LR37, CHR 1998 and LO16. These are 10.
You referred to the MC-releases which are double (2).
The 11th Elrond I referred to was Wendy's, that's why I said "+1"

Hmmmm smile thanks dear Master tree.... I totally forgot MS226 smile

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Alas, I have been waiting for a long time to have better light for taking pics. No success at all, yesterday was Dec. 22nd ...
Anyway, today I decided to take some more pics (inside, of course) .... I promised to show you all them Elronds together ...
though, believe me, whenever they came together they had nothing better to do than to quarrel or to be wise .... lousy bunch

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Yes, I know 2 of my Elronds are blonde ... that is because I early started collecting them Mithrils before having read Master Tolkien's work over and over thoroughly again ... (my wife couldn't believe what I once did ... though, to be honest, sometimes you have to oppose, don't you) ... Anyway, they'll stay the same as they were some of the figures I painted first. - Done.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

After having had a very lazy afternoon discussing with Master Elrond about Master Hieronymus Bosch's paintings he decided to assure "the egg" from the tryptichon that he's an Elf ... which the egg did not trust ... so Elrond marvelled the egg from the painting to lead on his discussion ... I still wonder if they can find any conclusion ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

When I was still a youngster I could never remember Master Hieronymus Bosch's name, and when asked for it at school on one occasion I called him Hiroshima Bomb.

Close, but no cigar (except behind the bicycle sheds after detention).

Re: The Travelling Elrond

It simply is a 3D excerpt from Bosch's "Das Jüngste Gericht" (Weltgericht) ... bottom right next to the other tortures.
This hasn't got anything to do with Master Tolkiens books at all. - I just regarded that as a kind of joke ... Elrond meets Bosch.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, Master Twrich it's just upon you to cross that watery region between us to be very much welcomed here ... rhuommm ... just feel free to do so ... rhuoommm ... I knew you would comment on that pipe-thing I sometimes use to light ... it's the "Bilbo"-pipe produced in small numbers by a well-known company called "Vauen" ... I always wasn't sure if the inlayed copper sprirals would harm my fingers, but all has been working well for years ... the copper part at the front leaves a smooth hold for a finger ... the woods being chosen for the Bilbo-pipe are perfect ... those two woods meeting at the joint in the long shaft are perfectly crafted ... and have the smoke arriving somewhat between warm and cold ... because of the length, that is ..... yes, there also is the "Gandalf" and the "Aragorn" ... but I like my Bilbo best .... it's a piece of what I would call pipe-architcture (But you know them from the films)
