Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well,  a very lazy Sunday afternoon ... outside there's fog and we just can imagine about where our neighbours house might be ... alas, freezing as well ... so Elrond once again told me to better stay inside ... so we did ... poor light all day ... so I decided to give him some bodyguards today for assuring him that he's still safe here ...

or some others ... he's so undecided which to choose ... or even accept ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Err, yes, of course, Master Gildor. I hope I won't forget, as there still are some pics to be taken outdoors. Could take some time, methinks, as I am not always the "hasty one". But what I have read in the booklet coming along with Elrond I'm sure I'm not the one to host him longer than others did - no offence intended to anyone here. ... huommm ... there's an Elrond Gallery? ... good ... might better find out whom to pass on our Travelling Elrond this year ... could be "Protozeus" ... haven't heard of him for at least a year or so ... I'll find out .... wink

Re: The Travelling Elrond

one must not forget that Elrond is half-elven wink  he may not be as "long lived" as a regular elf wink even if he took the elf part, as opposed to his brother elros wink

Just found out I forgot that pdf-thing when I tried to rename the files ...
OK, please let me give another chance. I'll try it again - and once I'm more successful this time I then maybe can delete the other entries ... it's always a mess with these computery-things ... so I'll try again

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, last night there was this trouble about nameless things. I suggested to add them to one of my Balrog's vaults. Our dear Travelling Elrond at once complained about me having used an old beer-mat as a base for that vault (that's the one Master Barliman cannot find, as I secretly hid it well) ... what can I tell, slate this half-Elf wanted to be used ... running down and upstairs again ... slate there is for a base ...

Click to close

but what's worse, then they started discussing ... both of them ... about where to put and how to do ... alas ..

Re: The Travelling Elrond

[ I'm not an eypert - can harddrives freeze? - somehow now it seems to work] ...ok ....

sorry, that wasn't the ent ... as I had to provide more than just one piece of slate ... the first one wasn't convenient somehow ... down and up again, you know ... meanwhile both were discussing about who should have a place where ....

Click to close

that discussion then became very close to an Enthing, if you know what I mean ... over and over again ...

Click to close

of course, somehow that Travelling Elrond convinced my poor Balrog to stay out of his place ... "his", he said ...

Click to close

then I dared to ask them about that nameless things again ... "There are none!" both answered. ... I just admitted and immediately ordered a second set ... and then left them alone ... I suspect they expect me to haste each and everything ...
which I cannot, as you all might know ... alas ... anyway, I dunno what else happened last night ... better leave half-Elves and Balrogs alone ...
Though, this morning both were surprisingly friendly to me ... even smiling a bit ... they found some pure Antrazen, best stuff to use for giving an idea of glittering Mithril-silver in a diorama ... well, I have to admit, they helped a bit ... though ... by now they've both started complaining about the missing maggots again .... but, what can I say? ...

enjoy, I do hope I didn't pester you here with my passion ... and ... you know, don't always take me being serious ... Ent ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Err, sorry it's me again. let me first say that this, once again, is meant as another attempt to humour. for humour ? despite of humour? - whatever it means, just let me know please, if my latest contributions pester you very much, so I will stop this immediately.
The Problem does concern very much that booklet our travelling Elrond keeps. So, to be honest, it won't suffice all his upcoming travels in terms of pages, so to say. So there's need of a new booklet, methinks. We decided to simply buy a second one. - See, that's where the problem started. For buying, you clearly are in need of coiny-things. Master Elrond suggested to ask Master Barliman to help us out ... I told him that he's broke.  Alas, that was 2 nights ago. Finally Elrond decided to give a free lecture about any matter. - He's wise, you know. So, I suggested lecturing Trolls how to paint themselves. Quite a difficult subject I thought. He went in, saying "okidoke". Last night I suggested to take a fee for all Trolls coming. "Okidoky", he said. That very Elf seems to be very self-assured. Anyway, we agreed ...

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Err ... to be honest, both of us weren't sure about any success, but we kept relying on our single-person-audience ... Master Thingol.
Anyway, our Travelling Elrond agreed with the structure of holding a speech and convincing Trolls how to paint themselves. First, you announce and say why you are standing there on top of that stone. [which, of course isn't a stone-troll] ... see ...

Click to close

See the problem right away? ... No Trolls, no interest ... alas no money for a new booklet .... we had to go on ... starting to present badly-sculpted and badly-painted Trolls, first the dumb-minded male .... first listener of all ...

Click to close

then his lady ...

Click to close

... hard to cope with by the way being in a position as a neutral photographer ...

Click to close

Anyway, Elrond and me (the Tree) had by then aroused some interest among Trolls, which isn't easy to get at all.
So second step in our (Elrond's) speech was to point out the opposite, a very nice Troll, so to say ...

Click to close

that was when we noticed something has been completely going wrong ... sounds from far away first, then I heard "he's not painted", or "There still are sprews, you see." ... or even worse ... though, to be honest, the audience increased ... so Trolls were coming ... first there just were some, expressing their disgust expressively ...

Click to close

That time I tried to tell Elrond to leave that poor stage ... before insisting on telling them Trolls how to paint themselves ... alas

Click to close

meanwhile there were only Trolls all around ... me, just a poor witness was even threatened ...

Click to close

... this was not the end ... there came even more unpainted Trolls from right ...

Click to close

Well, to be honest, all ended up in a hassle. So, Elrond and me didn't earn a dime. But now we know that Trolls don't pay for a ticket.

Click to close

Master Travelling Elrond and me agreed today that we should change our concept next time.

Looks like the bar in the Pony on a Saturday night, just before the Shirriffs come and arrest everybody for disturbing the peace (and the beer).

Re: The Travelling Elrond

The project "Talking with Trolls" went to a mess. Tonight that Elf and me must have a more serious discussion about what to do next weekend. Though time's running out for him by now he's not sure where to head next. ... alright, I'll find out and tell him.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

That special kind of humour you rely on Master Theobald . . . No reason to change that, not at all . . . big_smile
As far as I am concerned those pictures pleases me a lot! A bit surrealistic those ones from Jan15 . . . cool
