Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, thank you for the compliment, Master Thingol. But I think I posted too many pics of Elrond's stay at my place already.
Maybe I was wrong about this and didn't place them in that Gallery you mentioned, wherever that is. Sorry, but I'm still not that familar or even skilled with such things. I'll have a look and try to find out.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Tavelling Elrond is talking and telling about his travels with his companions
Galadriel M1, Elrond M2, Celeborn and Gandalf the Grey at the moment on my kitchen window shelf.
He has much to tell, really... Aragorn and Arwen are listening too.
Beside them sits Bilbo with his Red Book of the West March and is writing many lines into it....

Hi Folks!

Is there any reference that Elrond has been at all places of the list on the first page here?
Then I think there should be a bit more pictures of the visits!
Come on fellow collectors, show the pictures to us all!

Well, I do have a couple of pictures of Elrond while staying at my home 6 years ago but... sad I tried to uploade them to the site without success as I can not create an album called "Elrond visting Ori" Can any one help?

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I think you don´t have to creae a seperate album, Master Ori.
Just put your pictures inside this thread. It´s meant to be. Other fellows just did it that way.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Here a short update about travelling Elrond's Adventures:

Click to close

He has visited the greenhouses where Halbarad II. spend some years of his youth,
and has disussed a lot about flowers and herbs with Gandalf the Grey, whom he has met there.
the weather was very nice and all kind of spring flowers were brightly blooming in the greenhouses and outside.
(Pictures will follow)
Travelling Elrond made quite a good impression to the family
of your collector fellow Halbarad II., as they learned about his travels. yikes)

Some days later Elrond took his first  longer journey southwards in Germany,
the Black Forest on his left hand side, and the mighty Rhine river on the right side.
This great Stream he crossed with Halbarad II. and Aresius the wizard.
The Rhine River is likewise the Borderline to our neighbour Country France.
We travelled into the lovely countryside of Alsace and the aim was a very interesting big building that is named "CITE DU TRAIN"
which containes a huge and wonderful collection of big modern and not so modern machines
that work with fire and water, producing powerful steam, and some working by Diesel fuel and Electricity.

Elrond was very impressed by the great steam engines that travelled once on rails.
He got a nice solution about that strange sentence in "a long-expected party" in the Red Book of the Westmarch:
"...the (Firework)Dragon passed like an EXPRESS TRAIN, turned a somersault, and burst over Bywater with a deafening explosion..."
What's an express train? He always wondered, now Elrond knows!
(Pictures will follow)

Tiny miniature, huge steel engine!

Last sunday Elrond travelled with Halbarad II. and his friend Gandalf the Grey near the City of Heidelberg,
but they decided to have a look on the City first from the height:
There is a wonderful ridge of woody hill tops on the northern side of the Neckar River,
which flows through Heidelberg.
And on the southernmost  hill top there are some very beautiful and interesting places like towers and ruins in the woods.
So Halbarad the Ranger went first to this place.
Elrond liked it very much to discover the ancient traces of human (celtic and germanic ) settlements in germnay,
and later the christians who build a formidable monastry up on the height.
Pity nowadays the monastery of Saint Michael lays in ruins like it's smaller fellow, Saint Stephans cloister...
with stones of the remaining walls of the smaller cloister people build a tower with a very nice view down the valley to the city.

...and also there is another very strange huge construction on that hill top, which is very impressive if you stand before, or inside it,
but the time when it was constructed is unfortunedly connected with the darkest time period of the Country of Germany,
when it was ruled by a man or group of brown dressed people with very strange delusions of grandeur.
The place is named "Thingstaette" like the Thing of the Ents in LotR and it's shaped like an ancient amphittheatre.
The purpose was to be a place of meeting and instructing of very much people.
But the only time when those mad people used it was it's opening.
fortunetly nowadays it is normally a quiet and peaceful place for weekend trips.
Sometimes there are festivals of culture and music in it, but the facilities are very poor up there, no restrooms
just one little Inn for people taking a walk and cyclists. and the road is in a bad condition.
And most of the vistors of Heidelberg don't have the time to go up there or even know about those places.
So Halbarad thought it is good to show this place to Elrond (and all collector fellows, connected with his travels)
(pictures will follow)

...and Master Elrond had a very weird encouter with a really strange tree spirit... wait and see! ,o)

Many greetings from travelling Elrond to all collector fellows out there!

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Very nice trip Master Ranger.
And I know well the heights of Heidelberg (a long and hard walk from river to the top, at least for me) and understand the mightiness view on the castle and  your nice city Elrond cough from the terrace of the small tower.

I hope one day Master Elrond will be also able to visit my area.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Absolutely: yiu have to take the "upload image" button at the very top of this site.
you chose your data and push the "sumit" button. After a while- it depends of course on your data size- an "instruction" follows:
"copy and paste the following . . . ".
Usually that should be very easy . . .
Good luck, Master H.Wolf !
