Re: The Travelling Elrond

Hm I was not here for a while, but I think that this Elrond story become too strenuous and somewhat boring.... I can not imagine that someone could be so inactive. On this game is certainly reflects the general situation in Mithril production.... Maybe I can send one of my two Elrond as a substitute from the "bench"....

I've been waiting six years "for "his visit" ..... In the meantime, no more grandma's garden, and many of us no longer even interested. Some do not even occur.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

It seems that I caused some trouble and disappointment with trying to keep Elrond's Travels going on this year TWICE (in January and August 10th, to be exact). Before all that it was quite a bit difficult to locate him somewhere in Berlin and convince the host to pass him on.
After that experience I just felt a bit obliged to take some care about Elrond's stays. Though I don't know why.
Early this year I just thought it was time again to ask about the "Travelling Elrond's" stay. Then, after about half a year having passed I dared to ask again. In between there have been no entries in this thread.
I do feel very much annoyed as almost all of the few here who are still interested in this matter.

I'm sorry that in the end my efforts found a climax in a misunderstanding with Master Turambar as we tried to contact the present host at the same time. I was trying to help out again and keep things moving as I did before.

Master Thingol, I do understand your anger very much, as I experienced the same before Elrond arrived at my place.

So, my consequence taken from all this definitively is to keep myself off of this matter in future. That's all there is left to say from me.

At least you are on the list Master Thingol...

It seems my request posted a year ago was as lost as Elrond :-(

Re: The Travelling Elrond

well I really thing the Travelling Elrond is a good idea but it has to "live" and carry on, that's why I express my concerns about "wait a bit a longer until visit to castle Heidelberg"... I am ok with that but I'd like to have an estimation of the delay, so that it carries on moving.

Not that I am personnaly interested, I already had it in my time, but for the project to carry on, and to have pics to publish

Re: The Travelling Elrond

. . .well- I surely do NOT comment that "Heidelberg-photo-thing"  . . .
Finally I will like to add, that it is somekind embarrassing that Master Mornedhel isn´t even on that list
but Master Elrond stayied at members whose output in this community is really "sparing" . . .

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I do not see why master Mornedhel should not be on that list smile he definitly should !

as for Elrond staying at members for a long time, well I myself kept it for maybe a longer time than some, it was during my move I kept it from january through mid-august 2010 , 7 months and a half is far too much I admit sad

Re: The Travelling Elrond

well It would be more than fair now that no matter if master Halbarad managed to bring Elrond to Heidelberg, if one could contact him and convince him to send Elrond on his next trip...

I can tell you something:
I am more than upset about this matter. And I won´t tell you my real thoughts about that behaviour.
I- for my part- contacted him once and I will NOT contact him any further!

What about starting a new travelling miniature thread,  meanwhile Elrond is kept prisoner in evil caves ?

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I contemplated for quite a while if I should place a comment here now, as my last involvement in this matter just caused some trouble for me behind the screens. - Anyway, I feel I have to comment, as I once felt me being responsible for "Elrond's Travels" in Germany. [You might remember that I "rescued" him somewhere in Berlin a long time ago.]

I think it is not only a shame and a pity what happened to the "Travelling Elrond". Definitely not, as along with the parcel there have been travelling so many other items, gifts, pictures and notes added by former hosts that all contributed well. The old parcel had to be extended twice by a larger one. Not to mention Wendy's notes and ideas about this project are in it.

I cannot think of any reasonable excuse for the latest development, sorry. To me this is larceny, maybe based on ignorance.

Milo, I would like to say that this idea of just starting to have another figure travelling to replace the lost Elrond is something I could never support. There is nothing to replace this and there never can be. Sorry, Milo, but I think following your suggestion is the worst thing we can do.
