The space, the main enemy of the miniature painters and scene makers
As always, your pictures recreates the scenes of tolkien´s world perfectly
Have you ever considered to reunite your pictures in a unique archive (Word, PDF), as a book... and tell different stories by images?
I just thought about it the last days Master Elroi. To make a small book of photos and put there short a story quoted from the book..... with specifying the figures contained in the pictures.... like in the Grandmas garden mithril catalogue...
Now when I see that there are mithril friends with such ideas... I will go slowly with this job!
Thanks Master Elroi...

I like all snow pictures, dear Master Thingol !
But especially the Caradhras-scene! This is perfect! You can hear the wind howling . . .
And the Hobbit nearly sunken in the snow . . . nice idea! As the Tree said it already.

Great choice of the scene, absolutely brilliant, Maese Gardener... Even Bill the Pony looks tired by the great effort.

Theme was: Robbery and kidnapping of Princess by a gang of vicious Dwaw of Waw.... with PD figures PCH6, PCH7 and PCH8 ....
Scene of shooting:

ah... We see Grand Ma's garden again. I wonder if these beornides found any orc in their trip to croatia ?
Experimenting B&W pics on such small things is almost as hard as shooting insects...Still picture in the middle with PCH8 is just great. Catching stress and danger.
Scene for shooting seems very ancient. I imagine I could read LOTR books there beside a fireplace.
Excellent work Nino, as always.

Black and white photos really gives a very disturbing atmosphere which gets married well to a kidnapping. Very appropriate in the situation
Unfortunately, we can't appreciate the painting work Only on the first picture : great job as usual

Great idea, my friend, absolutely great idea.
And we see, that the re-released PA minis fit well into "mithril"-world.
Very moody . . .

The Beornings are absolutely great in that surrounding and so is the quality of the pics ... I'm not sure about your second attempts with black&white pics ... my opinion was pointed out by others already:
- of course, no chance to value the colours of the painted figures
- it's absolutely difficult to take pics of such small figures, especially in such a very dark scene ... the appropriate light provided for such photos is extremely difficult to achieve, I think. That's why I don't like the flames in the background - that light is a bit too strong. ----- Nevertheless, why not try to do something new (in terms of photography) - first steps are always the most difficult to take. I hope you do not misunderstand my comment on the second series of pics, but you also asked for criticism.
So, keep on, Master Thingol

Thanks for all compliments dear friends for all compliments and criticisms. For sure that is difficult to take B&W pictures with optimal light on such a small objects, so I think that this would be my only experiment with mithril figures.
Few of you know my other B&W pictures, and I think that I will keep my interests on the real world...
News from the "Grandma's garden" will come soon....

The problem isn't about the brightness of the flames - it's to do with the fact that it's impossible to create 28mm-scale fire, so "real" flames always tend to look too large. Super pictures again, though - and super painting - as always. And really imaginative framing of the scenes. Genius.
