Re: The Taproom

I'm curious.  Does anybody from Mithril read this website frequently?  I've seen these complaints for quite a while on this site.  I assume they're aware of this problem.  I wonder why they don't address it.

I cannot answer all your questions here, Master OriginalAragorn, but believe me that I try to do what I can ... though be aware, it's not my company. Still I'm one of those Mithril-maniacs that still does live.

Re: The Taproom

Rhuooommmm ... hom ... well, as I received some news today I just can tell that The Man himself has been aware of that primary-problem and is about to solve it definitively ... rhuoommm ... so I don't worry about the UP being primed any more ... rhuoommm ...
.... rhuoommm ... now I have to leave this place before some barkeep comes around and puts all that glittery stuff at me branches and twigs ... rhuoomm ... last year I even wasn't allowed to move or talk for quite a while ... huomm ... so it's better to leave just in time ... hom ...

Leave the tree this year. For a change,  we could make a Nativity. Better, a Living Nativity!. Who wants to be the donkey? big_smile

Re: The Taproom

Who's going to volunteer to put up the tinsel and those little hanging decorations that Bob's cat eats? I can't do it all on my own, and Mrs B still can't use her right arm (though I think that's just an excuse to get out of cooking Christmas Dinner).

In the meantime I'll have an ale on my own in the corner here - it may help to make the decorations look more as if they're hanging straight.

Re: The Taproom

huoommmmm ... hush, please, Master Barliman is asleep by now .... rhuoommm ... though the decorations do not seem to hang straighter now ... huom ... in spite of all that ale he used to correct that mess ... huoommm ....
huommm ... I just came in here to let you know that some nice vignettes by The Man have been reproduced again ... huoommm ... them old ones by Grenadier Models from the 1990's ... huoom ... no, there's no "piracy" at all about these recastings ... rhuoommm .... but Princess Shaaranon is now called "Sacrifice" and Princess Achmiri is called "Passion" ... rhuoommm ... very nice vignettes; I think ... huommm ... what is nice is the fact that the inlayed leaf reads:
"Sculpted by: The Man" ... rhuoomm ... nice ...
sorry, but a have to leave before our dear barkeep wakes up, catches me at me branches, making me stay here and hangs all them glittery stuff at me twigs ..... huom ... so, hush, please

Re: The Taproom

I could've sworn I heard twigs scraping against the rafters just now, but it must've been my imagination. No trees in here at all. Not even a Yule-log.

But I see that Master Theobald has left a missive tacked to the bar. Do you mean, Master Tree, that The Man has adopted his MMP nickname (coined many moons ago by Yours Truly, when the Pony stood in another quarter of Bree)? If so, that would be a nice acknowledgment of MMP's significance!

Re: The Taproom

rhuoommm ... [not any tree being aound here ... ] ... rhooummm ... but as you're around here again, Master Barliman .... huommm ... I dunno about that adopting a nick-name by The Man ... rhuoommm ... at least that's what I read today on the leaflet being provided within that parcel from Time Machine Miniatures ... about them new "FS-1" and "FS-2" vignettes ... rhuommm ...
so there will still be some "Water Nymphs" to be released ... rhuoommm ... next year ... rhuoommm ... huommm ... and this has nothing got to do with some piracy-matter ... gruooohmmm ... alas ... Master Kevin Townsend did a brilliant job in painting them ladies well, meseems ...
rhuoommmm ... alas, Master Barliman .... I'm afraid you tracked me here being around ... bye, I still have to cope the interpretation of the "Fire of Orthanc" ... huoommm ... just to be honest ... ahem, I have not been here at all ..... huoommmm ...

Re: The Taproom

Rhuoommm ... I'm not hasty at all, Master Barliman, ... huom ... not at all ... just being slightly quicker than barkeeps in Bree ... rhuooommm ... just dropped in again to say: all my best wishes for Mrs B ... huoommm ... from the absent tree ... smile
... and of course for all the rest of you being present around here this time of year ... huoomm ...
[exit tree] .... [re-entering] ... huoommm ... just want to tell that I did not forget The Man in the Dark .... [2nd time exiting again ... ] ....

Re: The Taproom

Well, I've hung up my last bit of tinsel for the season, so Best Wishes to all my regulars, and anyone else who's ever dropped in to the Pony, until we all recover from our hangovers next week. A good holiday to you all! Oh, and Nob says that if you get really drunk you can try his new patent pick-me-up tonic (which I suspect is no more than the oil he uses on the soles of his his feet, laced with a bit of the paint stripper he uses to remove Mithril undercoat. You have been warned.)

Happy Yuletide, everyone.

I don't have much time on the internet as I write this from a cousin computer in a small and beautiful village of the countryside.
I wish all of you a very merry christmas and may Father Christmas and his friends be kind upon all of you!
