Re: The Taproom

21 for a single figure liek the Laketown Lady?! MMMH.
But what about 32,95 for that wolf rider . . . ?!!!!! That is more shocking . . .
You got two possibilities: waiting for the next "sale" OR win the painting competition . . . tongue

Re: The Taproom

I think Mithril has increased prices by between 5% and 10%. For example, before the single figure MS cost  19.95€, now 21€ (5.25%). The old Christmas figures go from  25€ to 27.50€ (10%). And then add the shipping cost. Before the figures could buy in a store in our city, now we can only get them online and paying shipping from Ireland .....hmm
I find it increasingly difficult to continue with this hobby ....neutral
I, at least, wait to buy offers and discounts on figures .......... roll

Re: The Taproom

Luxury Master Estel! You just need enough of these nice lead figures so when you starve to death someone can melt them and cast a coffin out of it. Then you can take them all with you! lol

Re: The Taproom

To my point of view, 20€ is a maximum for a mounted one, 15€ for a Troll and 10€ for a single.
Just compare 21€ sinlge MS price to last auction I won (1€65 for MIB M38) and you can understand why I keep spending all my money (and time sad) on evil ebay.
I remember back in 1988,  I bought M14 for 19 francs, i.e. 2€90 and mithril miniatures were already much more expensive than Citadel ones (5 francs for a single one)!
It also was available in shops were you can touch & even smell what you buy. There was also no shipping cost, the company was alive, even shops were making money !

Now if the company feels it is better relying on very few collectors to survive, prices will continue to raise each year as fellowship members will quit. And this will be short term before everything ends I agree...

Re: The Taproom

L.E. is temporary increased prices for imported alloy in factory. For sure there are many reasons to increase it from 1988 to 2011. But most important is that Mithril silver is mixed in alloy in some bigger percentage smile

1988 0,05% of mithril silver was mixed in alloy... today is 20% mixed in, and till 2020 price will be 42 Euros for single MS figure cool

2020 calculation: 40% of Mithril 60% of Aluminium price 42 Euros  big_smile

I'm angry but I still like it...

Re: The Taproom

Maybe the new prices is also linked to the "Save 10%" I just received in the newsletter ? Then, 21€ becomes 18,9€.
Strange !

Re: The Taproom

I just confirmed order with this voucher of 10% discount. When I excluding VAT from this final amount and I can do that, it does not look so bad. For me it is almost 28% less. And this is acceptable (for a moment).... wink

Yet remains coming home and inform my wife with a new order... yikes

Re: The Taproom

That is the most difficult threat...telling Madam. At home, even my kids say to me "stop buying miniatures dad !"

Maybe my mithril order shall pass through Croatia before flying home. 28% off makes a big difference !

I don't know anything about Troll's reproduction.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommmm ... well, I dunno how to put it correctly .... rhuoomm ... I'll keep up my "auto-shipment", that more or less reliable-thing, .. huoommm ... but then I can be sure to receive the last Mithril-miniature being sold very soon ... rhuoommm
... homm ... as for you, having to tell and explain to your ladies about new payments for some tiny-metal-things they-really-do-not-want-to-have-around-though-they-try-to-tolerate ... rhuuoommmm ... I'm afraid this sorrow will shortly be taken from your ladies' concern ... huom.

Re: The Taproom

I just don't tell Mrs B. - much safer! She just accepts seeing extra figures now and then and doesn't ask where they came from or how much they cost ("Boys' and their toys!"). That way everyone's happy (I hope).
