Surprise ! roll
I did not eat the ox...that was a lie. I took it carefully back home to cook it very slowly.
Now I come back here Master Thingol with the meat.
Cooked all together with vegetables. Just taste and enjoy with Barliman's best wine.

Re: The Taproom

Wow Barli, your fare has improved considerably recently. Too bad your scrumpy  . . . . . is still your scrumpy!

Re: The Taproom

You mean that unique, tangy flavour that's the hallmark of Prancing Pony scrumpy? It takes time, patience and plenty of rat to achieve that.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommm ... well, that picture clearly shows a nutria, I'm sure ... huoommm ... anyway, as far as I know Master Barliman only uses their tails for his famous scrumpy (which indeed have more substance than those of ordinary rats) ... rhuoommm ... the rest of those creatures you often find in The Pony on a late Sunday afternoon,  being served as "finger baskets", if I remember well ... huoom... well, I don't mind at all ... rhuoomm ... trees do not prefer meat very much ... or at least not such ... huoomm ...

Re: The Taproom

Ah, yes, the roasted rat dips. Very tasty. I got that idea from the local KFC franchise.

Well if you really prefer KFC, you could always eat there. And I'll even come to your funeral when you die of hardened arteries....
