Re: The Taproom

Thank you Milo, a kind gesture wink, and welcome Mistress Sevlag.

The Balrog arrived here yesterday so they are issuing forth! I much prefer this size to the bigger version (my idea of scale accuracy).

If you think it's burnt clay, that's fine by me, Master Tree. Yes, it's burnt clay. Definitely burnt clay. Absolutely. No question about it (etc...).

Re: The Taproom

Good morning, fellows - just popping in briefly today to warn you that Nob is in charge for the next few days while I go in search of new stock for the cellar. I shall be back at the end of the week. Don't take  advantage of my vertically challenged assistant while I'm away!

Re: The Taproom

hi hi...
well bad week for me very bad week...
not to mention I've been totally ill since Thursday and can only manage to get out of the bed some spare hours a day...
well..
as some of you may know, I am a deep fan and player of Everquest 2.... which I play daily.... Everquest2 is a MMORPG produced by SOE (Sony Online Entertainment)...
I am among those 25millions people (from SOE) in addition to the 75millions (from PSN) people whose personnal data have potentially been compromised...  Indeed the game has been totally down (servers, websites, forums, everything) since May 1st...

Hopefully, it won't directly create problem with my credit card as there was no credit card thefts (for SOE.... not PSN) but in order to be sure, I'll to change all my passwords online... even if there are several and not necessarily the same as SOE's one... one can never be too sure...

how great a week... hmm

Re: The Taproom

That's horrid, Master Gildor.

Meanwhile, my daft idea for the morning: create a Middle-earth conversion for D&D 4E, using only "Heroes of the Fallen Lands" and the Rules Compendium and the new Dungeon Master's Guide.

Re: The Taproom

well I have stopped playing D&D4e actually, all rumors indicate that d&d is dead in its current edition ...
wotc will carry on releasing some products as marketing is their job.... but all experts in rpg confirm that dd4 has never been a strong success and is about to completly disappear from the gametable... People still prefer 3.5

Huoommm ... I wish I had minor problems ... rhuoomm ... I'm still trying to find out if those 'fire-baskets' were placed too short to the bombardes when the attack on Harfleur began ... rhuom ... I'm afraid I'll never find out .. huomm ... our expert about such matters is away .... rhuoomm ...
it's just about building a correct diorama of Renaissance-artillery ... huommm ... have to build them gabiones myself, alas .... huoommm ...

That sounds great! big_smile
I myself finished my artillery a couple of weeks ago. As you know, I'm busy with a Renaissance Imperial Spanish army. This is my artillery. smile

Re: The Taproom

Great artillery, Master Erchamion. I didn't know that seller. By now I use two different scales, 4cm and 7 cm (height of the figures). It will take a lot of time until everything is finished. I have to build some details myself. And of course I musn't forget my Mithril collection.
