Though (irritatingly) I see that Michael is continuing to ignore our comments regarding restrictions on Fellowship figure suggestions, I notice that he's responded to my suggestion (in the "Comments" forum) about the potential of YouTube to promote Mithril, and says he'll investigate making "a mini promo" of the Mithril ranges to show there.
Now that would be a step in the right direction!

I am strung how mithril will implements this. To breaking point! I think that will be something like a detonation ! Well done, Master Barli.

Huooommm ..... did you take a look at that selling board ... rhuom ... Master Godet is selling single parts of certain figures separately ... rhuoommm ... did he sell the figures without those rare parts? ... gruuuooohmmmhuom ... even Mr Dritz is trying to sell some of those Mw346 again for an horrendous price ... alas ... gruooommm ... though there are some very nice offers for those who are in need of certain figures methinks ... huooommm ...
May I have a bowl of clear-clean-sparkeling watery liquid, please, Master Barliman ....

Ahh, yes, some exercises in making money. In these times very welcomed. Or do you have another oppinion . . . ?
There are again those dwarves . . . From that Drizzz . CT makes the offer of several sets directly somewhere around christmas-time, didn´t he.
Methinks to a more fair price, oh yes, very more fair. I should have taken one set at that time ( you have to know that I was coincidental
one of the first realized that offer, that means all sets were there . . . ) , I become more and more joy about these dwarves the more I see them
(. . . the more I see you, baby I love you . . . wasn´t it Master Chet Baker singing this song . . .? )

Ah, yes, two nice-looking figures - thanks for pointing them out. So where's our newsletter from Michael? I only noticed by chance that Round 2 of the voting had started!

And congratulations to Wendy for winning the Swan Knights competition!

Yes- unbelievable but true. Lars and the man has made a decision. Fantastic !
And: yesssss, she was my absolutely favourite, indeed !!!!! Congratulations from me too, Mistress Wendy ! And sorry David and sorry Estel for telling this . . .
And Wendy, please send us a picture of this mysterious new m-range when you are able to. I hope that will be before May .

Indeed, congrats to all concerned - I'm sure that even the losers paint better than I do.
And now that we've finally had a newsletter, it's also encouraging to see that the M range has at last been allocated a release date (well, a month anyway). Let's hope that they really do get released in May! That way, it'll only have taken the factory 6 months to get round to releasing them...

Congrats also from myself, mistress Wendy!
I think Lars and Chris had a tough job. As I am not a photographer, I did not think I would win the first prize nor the second.
So again CONGRATS!!

Wha? I won? Hehe, I had no idea till I read it here. Thanks gents and congratulations to the other winners! In this case there are no losers, quite literally.
Hmm, I think I have something in mind for the prize, but I doubt I'll receive it any sooner than anyone else...
Regarding the new GF releases, I really like Boromir. It's a classic pose and moment in the book.

I'm kinda bummed that I never got to enter.
Hell, I spent time in the small ugly bathroom (it's sort of like a broom closet with running water) scrubbing the damn second undercoat attempt off my two knights. That was an attempt undone by constant ill-luck.
I am also hoping to have my various Rohan fyrdmen painted by the time the Helm's Deep set comes out. This all seems terribly distant and overwhelming. Oh well, hopefully I'll have more time after this week is over. Maybe. But if there is a Helm's Deep painting competition, I will enter, damnit.

Congrats mistress Wendy!
You did a great job like always. You might be slow (certainly faster then I'm), but the result is worth waiting for!
Offline
Excellent Job Wendy! I knew someone was going to win and I am glad that you did.

As long as it is a love-fest, I'll add my congrats to you also Wendy, and to all three of you who took the time to paint and enter these fine figures. But Wendy, as I know of your skill personally, I am not surprised you won.

I'm a bit late but you have my sincere congratulations mistress Wendy, this was a wonderful scene!

Likewise Wendy, a little gem and a most deserving winner, I was impressed especially with the shields when I first saw the entry, but have just noticed the very intricate painting of the saddle cloths as well.
Congratulations too Estel, but I think the 'Gal' had us both beat, lol.

Congrats. You even got your page in The Minatures Page news...

Reading the comments on the TMP page is also interesting, in terms of how much almost everyone (barring a single clearly insane moron) prefers the Mithril DA dudes to the GW travesties - as well they should!

Master Barliman, I need a very strong drink. I have just read what was written concerning "The Hunter" by the glorious Master Gavin.
I must say: I am breathless. My eyes are wide open and also my mouth. And for that reason my mouth become dry, through the time I was reading the fate of:
THE HUNTER ! Wow.

Why thank you...
As I said I might, I went and seriously rejigged the story of poor old Dwar of Waw (which sounds like a hair metal band). In the original, Dwar of Waw is a young child belonging to the peaceable Wolim tribe of the land of Waw and... yeah, you can stop hitting me now. I didn't write the original. :p
When I've done all nine of the Nazgul, I'm going to go back and tighten up the prose more. I loved writing the Khamul entry, and the Hunter entry; it shows.
Of course any of my various and benighted editors would have broken my legs for various pieces of prose miscreance while writing it, but hey, I had fun.

A nice addition master Gavin but maybe it would be wise (later) to also write the "canonic" MERP background too for those (for the curious ones)
Since those names are copyrighted I suppose their background is too?
But for the moment well done You even managed to... well... tolerate this "unforgivable" mistake of Mithril and Chris naming Dwar... Dwaw

I've just read that the role of Bilbo Baggins has finally been (well, 'bean' perhaps...) cast for the Hobbit movie.
Rowan Atkinson!
I can see that working out very well indeed.
