Huoommmm ... yes, 116 indeed ... all painted individually ... huom ... 36 archers, 48 spearmen, 24 swordmen, 6 riders and a standard-bearer and an officer ... rhuoommmm ... it's quite a lot, isn't it? ... I've assembled them by now ... they're all based on the Mithril-NĂºmenorians including very nice conversions .... rhuoommm ... just waiting for better weather to take some pictures ... rhuoommm ... I cannot haste, you know ... huom

I shall look forward to seeing these. Are they your own conversions, or have you obtained them all from someone else? And does painting so many also indicate that you're a gamer, Master Tree? I don't think I'd realised that before.

Wow!
That's amazing Master Tree!
116? I think I may - stress, may - have that many Mithril Orcs, and most of those are plain Mithril orcs. Nothing fancy, no clever conversions, and besides, they are only orcs.
But I'd love to see your men of Numenor.

Huooommmm ... well, I'm not a gamer, just tried it once ... rhuoommm ... then I do not have the skill to produce any conversion and then cast it .... hom ... nor do I have the time to paint so many figures that brilliantly ... you see ... I , ahem, received them as a gift ... huoomm ... and, believe me I was completely puzzled .... hoooommmm ... I'll try to take some pics asap ... huom
... it's unbelievable ... rhuoommm

Rhuoommm ... I just hung up some pictures of bad quality in the Mathom House ... huoommm ... just to let you know that I'm not providing rumours ... huom ... and to give you a first impression ... hooommmm ... the quality of them pictures is that bad because I had to haste ...

That sir, is a collection to be proud of!
Offline
...you haven't seen all of it, Master Gavin ... and besides, I'm not a Sir ... not at all ... rhuoomm ... I rather feel like Bilbo in the next MX ... puzzled, simply trying to cope with all that what is going on around me ... huommm ... have to swipe my forehead with whatever kind of cloth is next to my hand ... rhuoommm ... huoommm ... I can cope with that, I'm sure ... huomrhuooommmhomhom ...

Just don't use the cloth I use to wipe the sweat off the scumpy barrels, or your head will dissolve.

Well, I say the universe always balances everything in the long run.
Master Ent you are a giver and now you are a receiver. Congatulation to this army!

I think I will order two!

A mere £4,000 or so? Why not order a six-pack and give them to your friends at Christmas? But I wonder what their intrinsic value is? - I mean, how much they actually cost per unit to manufacture.

May you give Master Gavin a huge drink of whatever he prefers, Master Barli.
He did inform us about the Razarac, very kind indeed of him !
Thank you, Gavin.

A side note for all, Jim Corless of Time Machine miniatures is closing out his lines of the old Gondor and Orc warband minis. First come first serve I guess, so if anyone is interested in picking up a few extra of those, now would be the time.

That's sad news. Fortunately I don't need any myself at the moment, but it's a shame that they're not going to be around any more for those odd occasions when extras might be needed.
Offline
It's sad because I was vaguely considering buying another set of each for my eventually Pelennor Fields diorama.
Eventually.
I might ask him to save me two sets and see if he'll let me pay in October...

In all my dealings with Jim, he has always been courteous, accommodating, and upfront. He is the single and only reason I was reintroduced to Mithrils and became aware of the vast collection of unparalleled miniatures that had been produced (and are still being produced!)
It wouldn't hurt to ask!

Huooommrhuoommm ... Master Presto, I can confirm all the adjectives you used about Master Corless , as from my experience, all of them are true ... rhooumm ...
Huom ... I also feel sorry that he's decided to stop producing those two armies by the end of this month ... rhuoomm ... ... huoommm ... though I can tell that he does not give up his passion for Mithril with doing that ... rhuoommhuom ...

Looking at the cup being half-full rather than half-empty, the fact that his range was available for as long as it was is something we should be thankful for. My three regiments of Orc archers would have been more boring (and more expensive!) but for the existence of the Time Machine range and Jim's preparedness to knock them out when I needed them. I hope he's not also going to discontinue the 54mm range? I don't collect this scale, but it would be sad if the world at large was deprived of their existence permanently.
On a happier note, I'm glad to see that the mounted Radagast figure won this month's GF poll. Can't remember who suggested it, but well done and congratulations, whoever you were. And it would be nice to see the cat in his saddle-bag, as Master Holger suggested!

Huooommmm .... the tabroom's crowded you said elsewhere, Master Barliman? ... well ... ahem ... huoomm ...
... but as for that sad news about the Gondor and Orc warbands from Time Machine Miniatures I simply forgot to inform you .... rhuoomm ... sorry ... but at least Master Presto247365 did not forget .... thank you, Master Presto247365 ... huoommm

By crowded, Master Tree, I meant 94 pages and 3259 messages crowded...

mmhh I plan to ask this little Nob to do some changes and ameliorations maybe for the 100th page I suppose. Maybe a new taproom is in order we'll see
for the time being well it's not often that I share rumors, I prefer sharing facts... but well , some rumors are good too indeed master tree... so master butterbur.... I think I need something fresh, a cider maybe? as I think to have heard rumours of a big bearded and hairy man angry with a hammer in his hand to show his face in not too long... but you know, with these rumors we never know... well what was I asking... ah yes... a cider! a pint please
