Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I absolutely love the Deadman as he is amazingly close to how I imagined him when I put forth the suggestion!

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I agree, I really like the deadman too, I'd like to have many of them to build an army of undead smile

He is an excellent figure - the best Mithril 'Man of Dunharrow' thus far.

Are you serious?

Sorry, but in my opinion that is quite unfair to say.
The horse is beautifully sculpted, and the rider fits perfectly in all the Rohan line.

There is a good man in our rows waiting (and many others surely also, including me) over 2 years! for this release,
and then it is rated "nothing special"  OMG

Is that the result of the long waiting time?
how odd

To the Halbarad the second:

Keep calm and stay cool and drink scrumpy.... that's all what can I say on this post... hmmcool Cheers !

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I'm completely agree about the new Deadman of Dunharrow... awesome figure... I hope one day MIthril will release army of dead as a regular M range of figures...

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I like both, and certainly echo the comments about the 'dead-man' being both a very nice figure and needing more of 'em! Re Harry's comment about his footwear, I guess shuffling around for as many years as the Dead have been then it would have taken a harder toll on the 'leather' wink.

Re Elfhelm, not sure how far the artistic design can be taken to make these figures more 'special', but I guess that to maintain the CT style then some of the extra detail that the MZ process could realise has to be avoided.

I have said before that while in general, CT has replicated some amazingly intricate details on his figures, horses and other 'creatures' have generally lacked some of this 'extra' detail. The horses imho can look quite basic at times (and don't get me started about that damn wedge of metal between reins and horses neck lol ).

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I've just been wondering that myself. I suppose there would have been at least one on each road that approached Isengard and at each junction, though it's anyone guess how many that might have been! Personally I shall buy two.

I like what has been produced - I was imagining some form of large carved hand similar in design to the Isengard shield emblems with a pointing finger, but what has been produced has an elegance to it I like while retaining a look of slight menace (and in the style of Thror's map illustration). As to how many....?

For the price of 3,00 Euros each.... I think 15 pillars is enough lol

I'm curious about the actual size (i.e. height) of the pillar.

It's been very quiet in here for quite a while. I don't think my profits for the year are going to be considerable!

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Everywhere was so quiet that I seem to have wandered through the wrong door in error. My apologies for not noticing the grand job you've done of keeping the Taproom looking tidy, Master Tree. But who made it untidy in the first place? No one has been in the place for an Age - well, a few weeks anyway.

I shall toddle off back there now and see if Nob has put a hot-water bottle in my bed. Autumn certainly seems to have arrived in Bree!

Very generous, Master Caster. Though I doubt that my absent patrons will appreciate it. I may have to drink their pints myself.

by the way, Luthien by hitting an 8th winning suggestion becomes one of the best suggesters around... of cours Harald Wolf is unreachable with 19 winning suggestions smile
