Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

Looks better and better - I suspect that I'm I'm going to really enjoy this, despite rather than because of the liberties taken with the story!

PJ's closing remark suggests there'll be one more blog immediately after the premieres.

I wonder when (which film) we see Smaug attacking Dale? One of the crew mentioned that bit. Overall I think I shall enjoy this film wink

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

I wonder that we don´t see Mirkwood in the first film. And I wonder where they make the cut.
Aslo I wonder what will they tell in nearly three hours untilthis cut . . .
Smaug is the very ace in their sleeve Perhaps we will see Smaug attacking whatever in some "prequel" scenes . . .
As some kind of an appetizer. I hope!!!!!!

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

I bet they haven't even got the CGI sorted for Smaug yet! But yes, I continue to wonder all the same things regarding the sequence and where the movies in the "trilogy" will begin and end, and what the "cliffhangers" will be for each film. But at least we'll know where the first film ends very soon now!

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

The first GW releases were revealed over the weekend:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal … tter-en_GB

There's nothing spectacular about them thus far. I'll be more interested when they release some Elves and Men of Laketown etc. At least the Wargs are an improvement on the demented hyenas they designed for the LOTR films!

I assume Radagast carries a hedgehog under his arm as a substitute for a security blanket?

The company does not pass by Mount Gundabad, but through the Door of the Goblins (do you say so in English?). Mount Gundabad was further north of the Misty Mountains and is from there the  Bolgo´s army go to the Battle of Five Armies. But of course, we don´t know what he has done Master PJ in the movie..... rollwink
I think the movie ends when the eagles come to the aid of the company ..... smile

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

it is the "Goblin Gate" in english. as fas as I have seen the first movie should stop during the scene of "fifteen birds in five firtrees".... as we see the dwarves and Gandalf on top of burning trees and the wargs charging...

and no eagles... so I assume this is the cliffhanger

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

now I wonder when the second movie will end? as there are three... ok for the fifteen birds for the first one... and I assume the battle of the five armies would be in the third one... but when would the second one end up?? before or after Smaug death?

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

(in France, all movies are released on wednesday of each week... that's a rule or law or whatever. No movie can be released at any other day of the week but wednesday (except VERY exceptionnal cases...)
that means that sometimes we get movies before everybody (xmen, james bond, and even Lord of the rings third movie I think) well it will be the case once again for the Hobbit
(well sometimes we get movies, one week later too...)

Re: THE HOBBIT MOVIE

The quality of this home-made trailer is pretty rough, and doesn't show anything sufficiently well to be a "spolier". I imagine the extra footage was filmed with a mobile phone during the NZ world premiere.
