Yes, these riders are my all time favourites too. I "restore" them at present.
And doing this you are beware of all the fine details.
Well, though your riders look pretty well, friend Nino, I never understood how
it is possible to ride a horse with holding different weapons . . .

I also wish to see your final conversion work of those riders... I have only picture with few guys on cork wink and .... one day... and soon.... you will receive small package.... look inside.... smile

And about "possibilities to ride a horse with holding different weapons... "..... aaaaaaaaaa.... aaaaaa.... I don't know how to do it.... Beavis... aaaaaa...aaaaaaaa.... I never rode horse...

And I have one secret for you.... this ex Rohan standard bearer is actually "Superman from middle earth" after he throw a spear and threw the ax in the orc forehead... he'll grab the sword and break a wire armored shirt beneath which hides the Superman red t-shirt... smile smile smile ups to much imagination....

lol  lol  lol
This seems to be THE solution, friend Nino . . .
Oh, the riders are finshed long time ago, meanwhiling.
At the moment, there are a couple of horses "on the cork" big_smile
But also nearly finished . . .  cool

Awesome Nino ! rollcool

Mongolian riders can shoot with a bow, why shouldn't any Rohirim be capable of using 2 weapons ?

BTW, do you still have any standard left from these converted riders ? I miss M30 standard  & M265 arms & standard   on mine hmm wink

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

great conversion and nicely painted Master Thingol, but I have to bring up something I noticed. If you look at the hand holding the speer you'll notice the thumb on the outside. Well, we all know what figure this speer came from. It is a right hand. next time you convert somthing like that, just cut of the tip of the speer and place it on the opposite end of the shaft. Now you have the fingers on the outside and the thumb on the inside which would make it a left hand.... wink
If you want to go further, cut the thumb of and create a new one with some putty! cool

Where there is a will there is a way, just as there are no problems, only solutions! Guess it depends on ones own perspective of the matter at that time big_smile

Agreed. Since rohirrim are horse archers too and remarkable riders, it's likely they can drive their horses with their knees too.

Unfortunately not dear friend... those figures were from some cheap auction and I have left only one rider M28 and I have plan to make from him mounted Guthlaf..... sad

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Well, Master Milo, I suggest to have a closer look at the standard of Master Guthlaf . . . preparing to ride . . .

I admit, it is a very expensive solution . . .

AFTER painting horses is BEFORE painting horses:
there is a conversion around which I would like to to be seen as a reminiscence to Frumgar:

I am afraid, unfortunately NOT, Marshall of the Mark.
The simply reason is: I have none . . . hmm

Looking for a M004 could be expensive . . .

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

I understood this, Jason. wink And I think you are able doing this conversion on your own. It isn“t that difficult.
You only have to cut off both heads- but in the right way!
