Re: MB560 Contest !

I took some new pictures yesterday with the dentist camera.
Such camera is so precise that you can only obtain sharp image for one character at a time.
Still, colors are far much better and resolution is much higher also.

Everything is delivered now. let's wait for everyones pics on tuesday now !

Re: MB560 Contest !

@Master Turambar: Very well executed, in your own style & driven harder ! Nice drawing on Cirdan's cloak also.tongue
I like the all scene.
I like aslo the chair on the floor, it shows more tensions in the discussion.
You found a way to add a fantastic surroundings. I like the flowers, the leaves. Where does this stuff come from ?

Don't be so hasty Master Milo.
I think all three of them are incredible work, Every single one in its own light. I do have my faforite out of the three, but I'm happy I don't have to judge them.

Re: MB560 Contest !

All paintings and pictures are very, very nice of course! Master Archers stone railing is very close to what I was picturing when I imagined the scene. Everyone's maps and scrolls are excellant!

Re: MB560 Contest !

Just to say the images posted so far are very, very impressive and I do not envy Chris and Lars the job of judging one little bit. At the moment though I don't seem to be able to open a larger image of the pictures which is frustrating, but I'm sure this will resolve itself.

Anyhow, my own effort follows - I'm not sure if my original question about maps of ME misled anyone (unintentional I might add), but it was for a globe of ME that I was needing them wink I had to use artistic license to reduce the size of the land mass to incorporate the areas of ME that we are familiar with along with areas of imagination.

I hid the 'West' behind a clouded area big_smile

I hope you enjoy. And a Happy Birthday Master Theobald big_smile

p.s. I did originally intend the location to be Isengard but the colours looked too sombre and the scribed designs looked too Elvish and needed some colour.

Crazy am I, it must be the Full Moon lol , and of course Barli's Scrumpy. The map was taken from the Other Minds magazine which is an excellent source of material which I am still working my way through.

I basically printed out the image, cut out the land mass with a sharp scalpel and then attached it using white glue (PVA) which softened the paper and helped me shape it - as it was a globe it was being applied to there are areas where the paper wrinkled up a bit.

The actual base in a newel post from a stair banister so it already had the globe on it.

Regards,

David
