Re: THE TAPROOM 2

No Master Barliman, these are not from Farmer Maggot. I am not this kind of hobbit, you should have noticed as I always pay my bills here.

Mushrooms come from little wood called "Bois de Bouconne" nearby my home, which I doubt anyone has heard about here in Bree.

So Master Thingol, if dogs are not after me, they might be after a ranger not anymore in the dark ? wink
By the way, it's been a while since I have run for anything but breakfast !lol

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

huuooommm ... indeed, Master Milo, I have to admit that until now I've never ever heard of that "Bois de Bouconne" ... hûomm ... "bois" is a nice word, by the way ... hommm ... unfortunately I don't dare to have a walk in the nearby forests at the moment, as some of those crazy trees (not me, of course) still are throwing twigs, boughs, leaves and branches ... huomm ...

ABSOLUTELY !!!!! Is it really the truth?!
For me an opportunity to fill my laketown diorama - on which I am working on at present - with figures . . .

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

from the newsletter

For exactly 24 hours, you will be able to get 50% off all Mithril Miniatures. The prices will be marked down on the site so you can see the savings immediately.

There are some things I wish to clarify.
1. No advantage points will be earned or redeemed during this sale.
2. Sale does not apply to any product that is NOT a miniature like paints or tools.
3. Purchases must be made through the website during the sale period.
4. No extra discounts will apply (so no culmulative discounts).

The Sale will begin after 23.59 GMT Oct 30th and end 23.59 GMT Oct 31st.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

A superb opportunity to fill some of the gaps amongst my own collection. Halloween is quite the oddest celebration on which to make this offer, though - it's quite the opposite of frightening!

As for my own prices, Master Mornedhel, they haven't gone up for a donkey's age (does that transalte from the Bree dialect?), so let's hear no complaints, or I'll fetch your bar-tab that's been sitting under the till for so long that it's collected half an inch of dust.

I suppose that means that you can't afford to settle your tab here.....again.

But thanks for the reminder. Been busy, and had utterly forgotten the special offer. I'd better get across to the Mithril site now while I remember.

huoooommmm ... ? ... strange people you are indeed ... huom ... emptying your purses without having any coiny-thing left to only once pay for your old, dusted bartabs in the Pony ... hûom ... ? ... me, I didn't order anything as I feel very much obliged to save some coiny-things for to balance my bartabs (yes, indeed, plural that is) in the Pony ... huomm ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I know that the words "invite" or "free" are not usually in Bree (I couldn´t hear them before here).
Also, there are not many unwary adventurers lately in the barrows. It is difficult to get new coins ...... Perhaps you need a skeleton Barrow-wight to decorate your Halloween tap, Master Barli. I could pay this way ..... roll

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

An intriguing idea, Master Erchamion. So, prop the skeleton of Baldor in a corner somewhere with some spooky lights to illuminate him and I'll cancel your tab......assuming you get back, of course.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Oh well, against my better judgement, I've just ordered five of the GF figures I hadn't ordered in the past, I suppose on the other hand I should be a bit P***ed as I sent an order the other week for two of the latest releases.

Oh well at least a good saving smile. I wonder if they will do it next Halloween - might be worth waiting and not ordering any GF figures until then big_smilewink

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Happily I hadn't got round to buying the latest GF figures, and I'm very pleased I hadn't! Also ordered two earlier ones I'd passed over for lack of funds, and a few other stray bits'n'bobs. The only negative thing about all this is that I've just spent about £100 that I couldn't really justify this month - but it was just too good a deal to ignore!

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I bought two elves and 2 Dol Amroth infantry guys for 10 Euros.... houm.... all of them for one conversion project... Such prices shall be regular, what do you think about it Masters of all here in the Pony.... This situation can only mean one thing. Or Mithril figures have a really small value (in terms of production and costs) of money or factory collapses....

Any way.. have a good evening all of you here... if there is something more than chicken on the menu today master innkeeper !?!??! madroll

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

It does make you wonder though, if the prices were nearer to this offer all of the time, you would think that Mithril would have nice empty shelves and at least some coiny things in their treasuries instead of lots of metal things on the shelf, and not so many coiny things in the treasuries.

But what do I know of business big_smile

I see some extra trade in here tonight, fresh from the Paths of the Dead! Apparently they only drink spirits.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

. . .here I am. For an invitation. A free round for everybody, Master Barliman.

And surely I will pay for it, because I save alot of money . . . today . . .

Hopefully it is no "forever-sale" of the irish company. So to say, we are throwing all figures out before we are closing down . . .

This is just an nightmare-halloween-thought. Cheers.

Completely agree with you David, it may be better to sell more figures is worth cheaper, that not a lot at a high price, quantity at a reasonable price in times of crisis is certainly a better thing.

But like you, I'm not a specialist business. It may only be my purse talking tongue

Anyway, I also benefited from this memorable day to give me some figures identified long time ago. wink
