Re: THE TAPROOM 2

You're a hobbit, and all hobbits need to lose a little weight. In your own case I judge your weight by the fact that you bent the last bar-stool you sat on.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

If a hobbit can bend a bar-stool here, it means a human would fell using it, no matter the hobbit's weight...roll

My advice: tell your carpenter he provided you wrong quality stuff instead of starving your most talkative hobbit client.
My tongue could become evil if not satiated!  big_smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Actually, it was a hobbit-size stool, Master Milo – I'd have to get a step-ladder out for you to reach one of the stools that Breeland Men use.

Ah, thank you Mistress Sevlag, they do look very nice and compatible together. The big question of course is, do I need them and if so for what? big_smile A Bree scene is very tempting I suppose - I wonder what the new coaching inn will look like.

Mmmnnn! I must ponder cool

I admire your willpower, Master Dave. Usually I see pictures like this and immediately go out and buy the models without giviing any thought to how I might effectively use them. Haven't done it this time, but I might eventually weaken....

wink, I did just carry out a (test) order for three items, but once the VAT and shipping was added it bumped it up to over 200 euros, so I backtracked hmm. They are very nice, but.... And yes, I could have done it one by one but I rather follow your line of thought Barli, buy and be damned - work it out afterwards roll lol.

They do have the coaching inn for sale as well (91Eur + VAT & shipping) - I was looking at how it could be utilised as your own fine establishment..... smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Yes, that's one that caught my attention. It does actually bear a close similarity to certain details of this fine establishment.

As I said a little earlier, thus far I've only purchased the company's excellent windmill, and I got that by persuading Mrs B to buy it for me as a birthday present.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

It's true that their creations are beautiful, but when you add VAT and shipping it significantly increases their posted rates.
Their new tavern is great, maybe a little large?
The major problem is that it is difficult to develop an interior that we can see.
But, as I have already said, they are really beautiful (never seen it anywhere) but very expensive: a perfect birthday gift, Master B wink

Expensive indeed. But as we say here in Bree, "you get what you pay for in life". In other words, if you want a quality product, you have to pay for it. Compared to the cost of the man-hours it would take to build such a model ourselves, the price isn't unreasonable, really — it's just a lot to justify spending out of a limited hobby budget.

What I need is one of those newfangled 3D xerox machines that generate 3D objects from strands of polymer or whatever.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

We haven't seen anything yet at Bree, but I gather the white stuff has been falling in the noorth. But it's certainly cold enough to need a nice warming beverage, so I'll share a jug of mulled wine with you by all means.
