Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Well, I'm back, full of Scottish IPA and Northern Light as of this moment, but I shall soon dry out (and not just from the beer - the northern isles were a tad wetter than we've seen them before, yet still an amazing, moody, atmospheric place). Glad to see the old Pony is still here, and not overrun by orcs. You've done a good job, Master Tree, as ever. Worth every drop of, we, water that you get. Now I shall have to go and catch up on all the other Mithril news...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Ah, a customer - and a very welcome one. Take a seat, Master Thingol (well, not literally, of course - I need all my seats) while I fill your mug. By the way, don't knock the cobwebs - they're all part of the Pony's "period charm", as the advertising trade likes to refer to it. They give the old place character.

Now I need to have a drink myself, to get over the shock of the price of the new MS releases - I suppose they're no more expensive than usual, but when your wallet is empty after a holiday the cash is a bit hard to find....I think I may have to leave it a few weeks (months?) before I can afford them!

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

How about with mushrooms and a big beer instead? Goes down easier.

For you and of course all the others:
A ROUND OF YOUR BEST ALE, MASTER BARLIMAN !
Thought I have seen you on this famous spanish island Master Barliman, but I must mistook you . . . so many british people around there . . .

PS: I will NEVER EVER consume Gin with Tonic water!

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Very wise too. It shouldn't be drunk at all. Horrid stuff. And no, I was up in the north of Middle-earth, not the south, so it can't have been me (especially if he was drinking gin and tonic). But welcome back!

Huoommm ... welcome back, Master Turambar, there wasn't any problem around here in the Pony ... huoomm ... all have been on holiday, meseems ... so I had a nice job here ... rhuommm ... and as for that "horrid stuff" as our Master Barkeep likes to call it, you just leave the slice of lemon ... rhuomm ... or better order a pint of Deuchars IPA ... rhuomm ..

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

It is actually good. Within the limits below the allowed minimum. I ordered it just because it sounds very good. And eating of this is very rarely here in my country... winkroll It is difficult to catch the optimal camel.... those animals constantly running around through the desert, they are resilient, and their meat has not lot of cholesterol..... so it must be expensive... smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Hmmmm. But how am I to get ham from a camel? - unless it was part of the baggage it was carrying. Which is unlikely in the countries where you find camels these days.
