Barliman ?

Please, before reading this, take a sit... to avoid having heart attack.

Please for christmas 2011 to come, could you prepare a special hobbit banquet ?
This means :
PP is reserved for a week,
160 guests (all MMP fellows + their family)
Best food that can be found on ME for all kinds of races (Ent, Human, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, Spider, Troll, cats, dogs...)
Best ale and wine that can be found on ME
Special crockery and tables from M122
Musisicans, firework...

EVERYTHING that can be done in best way to celebrate my 32mm OOP collection being achieved !
Of course, I will pay everything, even provide several trolls to help you for cooking big lamb, beef, ....wink

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

congratulations Milo, but you must still be cautious! While you were collecting OOP 32mm, other recent figurines may soon become OOP too. I hope for you that you already have Halbarad for example. or every MX...

and then, like me, you'll be able to focus on the 54mm wink

which makes me think... has any of you ever considered that SOME 54mm LO range could be converted, and transformed so that they could be 32mm scale Maiar, Valar... instead of what they are supposed to be originally? (saruman, galadriel, goldberry, witch-king, celeborn..... Ulmo, Yavana, Melkor, Niena,Oromë)

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huoommmm ... to be honest, Master Gildor, I did never consider that ... rhuoommm ... nice idea indeed, but to be honest, I think the difference in size would not be appropriate ... huoommm ...  I still think that the LO-range was a very fine one, indeed, and by now it serves old fingers ... err, twigs, ... better ... rhuoommm ...

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

well we have now two examples in mithril range that shows Sauron as "32mm scale 54mm figurine" (Gorgoroth, and the soon to be released Sammath Naur...

that was only an idea smile

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

I had thought about LO 29 as Morgoth and was going to use an Elf reference as Fingolfin, but as I don't have LO 29 and used the elf elfwhere ( lol) it never happened cool

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Rhuoommmm ... right you are again, my dear Elf ... huoommm ... just took my ruler to prove about the "bad lad"'s size at Gorgoroth ... with that your idea becomes much more interesting ... huom ... but have all the "old ones" to be depicted that tall, I wonder? ... hommm ... imagine our dear Tom Bombadil at such a size among 32mm-figures ... huom ... anyway, good and new thoughts are always welcomed by me here, Master Gildor ... hom ...

I do not worry at all as I do not miss any out of production miniature anymore (even unfindable and variants tongue).

Regarding 54mm, I have already full LO collection.
So only Christmas minis would remain to be found one day.... roll soon or never as I prefer 32mm scale.

Today, I am more attracted by PAM Characters. wink

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

well Theobald, about the old ones you know , I suspect, that there may be one, one day, to see the light of day, and though being 32mm scale vignette...his size will match LO range wink
Sauron won't be alone...

as for Tom Bombadil, he is like the Istari... he has chosen this body to match the bodies of mortals.... but as "immortals" and their "true fana" as tolkien calls it... since Chris made the standard for his own range as being "54mm in 32mm scale" we could use this standard too...

but as I said, this is just an Idea...

Huoommm ... I'm afraid I know what Master Gildor was talking about .... rhuoommm ... keeps me shiverring a bit ... huom ... huomm ... though that shiver might just be caused by the time of year ... rhuoommm ... and as for me, the tree, I also once decided to match my size inside this Pony-Place ... though having been struck by the low beams around here for many a days ... rhuoommm ... just let's keep on, Master Elf ... huoomm ... it will be worth it .... rhuoommmm
