I will need to wait for the weekend to take some photos in daylight, but I have finally got over my 'LotR' hurdle, namely A.L.E.P.!
It has also been a good excuse to finally get a lot of pesky Hobbits painted and out of the way so I can now move on to the next scene on my agenda.
I didn't feel ambitious enough to go for the marquee (sounded like too much hard work) so I went instead for the Shire-folk arriving at the Party Field and being greeted by Bilbo Baggins Esq.
The eagle-eyed among you will note that ther are no steps leading from the lane and the gate is missing a gate post. The latter will be added, the former .......
I hope you like.

Hello all, glad to see you like the scene (sorry there is no marquee Master Elroi ). I am trying to post some more images but seem to have a download problem at the moment so will try again tomorrow.
Master Sam Wise, go for it make the scene for yourself (and add a marquee for Elroi ).

Thanks Master Roi !!!!!!
that's what I was thinking.... but not sure!
I don't know if we need something like that in our lovely Shire, but why not?
(the most important is that I've a lot of Hobbits to paint ! )
