You'll do fine so long as they give decent marks for honesty and straight-talking.

Well, that's done. Wrote all sorts of clever sounding things about the renegotiated meaning of citizenship in a world where decision making is insulated from popular pressure.

Another one to go. :p

Wonderful with jam and double-cream here in Bree.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Well, actually, if they've been in the larder for too long there just might be some rat tails in the scones, but at least they'll be attached to rats, so you won't have to eat them.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Ahhhh- scones . . . I remeber them when I visit Devon in 1972, 1973 and 1984. Absolutely delicious the way Master Barliman told.
In Devon they call it Devon cream as far as I am remeber . . .
Though in my memory it wasn´t jam on it, regular strawberry marmelade it was.
Though because of my stays in wondeful GB always a glass of JAM is situated somewhere in my kitchen . . .
A bottle of Pimm´s is not far away!  tongue

huooommmmm ... well, a good evening to you all .... rhuôm ... ? ... er, all I mean .... hmmmhuom ... ?? ... hello, anybody in here? .... hmmm ... ??? ... hom ... just the good old echo that is ... huoommm ...

Master Barliman, my bowl has run empty for quite a while by now and I would like to ask you to fill it up, please ... rhuom ... yes, clear-clean-honey-coloured-watery-liquid that was ... huom no rat-tails, please ... non sparkeling, right ... huom ...
then tell me how things are going in Bree ... huom ... any news or rumours? ... huooommm? ... yes indeed, Master Turambar very much likes scones, double cream and jam with it ... huom ... so does Master Milo ... huomm ... so those are the latest news?

.... huom ... alas ... after having finished that bowl-of-you-know-what I might better have a look at them wargskin-doormats as they seem to be trodden, sodden and dirty and hardly being alive any more when I just came in ... huom ...

I am not just an echo Master Tree.
A long time since my last visit in Master Barliman tavern. But not far away, strolling I was.

A large scrumpy please.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Nor am I. Two large scrumpies coming up (just tell the Tree that it's water - he won't notice the difference until he's drunk sufficient of it not to notice the difference.....if you see what I mean).

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Oups sorry, I missed a round yesterday.

About friendship, I had 22 kids + 27 parents at home on sunday for "boussduf dingue" (translate Milo's crazy day).
Very good time this was to see so many hobbits around:

So I propose everyone to have another nice drink here today.
Nothing to do with futebal. Just pleasure to share friendship and good drinks.

cool
