Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Looks like I shall be buying some figures on Wednesday in Mithril's 50% sale - I've been waiting for this sort of discount for a while...

huooomm ... 50% off is indeed not the worst offer ... rhuoommm ... it seems to me more and more often that the figures cannot be sold for the official prices at all ... huoom ... how many "discounts, sales, special offers", etc do we have now per year? ... huoomm ... at least about 4 to 5, I think ... hom ... fact is I will have to consider again seriously about the sense of that "autoshipment" ... huomm ... doesn't make any sense any more methinks ... hom

Autoshipment has lost all sense of sales approach in marketing of Prince August factory .... in my opinion you can cancel the service. You just throw money for nothing.... But unfortunately it just shows how poorly are sales of our precious miniatures....

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

This is the first time that one of Mithril's sales has come at the same time as I actually have some money available! As well as some figures for gaming purposes I've also bought several Fellowship figures I needed, including a real oldie - MS280 Wulf, which I've always meant to buy but could never justify the cost at full price. Should be an interesting challenge to paint.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Just filled he gaps that showed up since I stopped my autoship in 2012. Hooray to the 50%-day, or it would never have happened.
Can somebody bring me on stand for events during the last two years?

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Sorry, I am upset by the "black wednesday. OK to put sales for old stock, that's business. But why on new releases ?
I bought last  2015 releases for prices which seem to be fraud compared to today's price. sad

And MX600 what financed by Master in the dark. I am sure he is not very happy to see his expenses violated by this...

Again regular customers are treated as milky cows...
Well, I know "regular customers" does not mean anything now (less than 30 I think) but I am upset.

More scrumpy please master Barliman. mad

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

As somebody who did buy the stuff last year for the full price, I have to say that I am not upset.

There is, of course, the danger of all sales being postponed over the year for the "black tuesday", which may hurt more in the long run. Personally I intend to stay "up to date" now with the regular prices, but I admit that these are steep.

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

I also think it was foolish to sell current MS figures (last 6 or so) or any MX figure for half off. Older stock--great.

Hi Milo, as for my arrangement with Mithril and Lars, he did not consult me, but I certainly expect him to remit euros to me in our agreed upon amount for all sold MX figres. If he wants to take a lost, that is his choice. Also, they may just need the room for other better selling figures they produce.

A sale like this also makes me wonder if Mithril might end the FG at some point soon. Hopefully all committed figures will be produced.

Well, I have been on holiday for a long time, and see I've missed a lot. Congrats belatedly, Ori! And it is good to see all the regulars visiting here recently while I've been gone. A round on me Barli! here are some coiny things, as Master Tree says!

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

A pleasure to see you, Master Twrich.

Rearding sales, I got caught out last year when a Mithril sale took place only a week after I'd bought some MS figures at full price. It's just one of the "hazards" of sales. The whole point of them is to unexpectedly offer goods at a reduced price. What would be the point of announcing weeks in advance that there was going to be a sale on the 30th of whatever? Everyone would just stop buying at full price! So I don't blame Mithril.

Including all the latest MS figures and any of the MX figures in a sale is another issue and rather inexplicable, though I'm not going to complain - it's about the only way I can afford MS figures these days.

Huuoommm ... Master Twrich, thanks for the drink ... huom ... I hope you won't face any troubles concerning "your" MX-sale ... hooomrhûom ... but I have to say that for quite some time I share your doubts about a positive future for Mithril ... rhuôm ... and it's not because I'm a pessimist, what I am not ... huom

Re: THE TAPROOM 3

Your time has come! Hope the figures are all that tou expected of them. I have to admit (and have already said) that I'm rather disappointed that Angbor isn't mounted, since every time he's mentioned in LOTR he's linked with hoesemen.

I'm still disappointeded, even though it's a very nice figure. But any Angbor is better than no Angbor!
