Re: The Taproom

We don't see you horsey boys in here very often. If you've parked your horse in the stable I'd suggest you padlock him too - we've had a bit of horse-stealing round here lately, as you may have read (though I've always wondered who took the one horse that was actually stolen, since that Southerner was still hiding at Ferny's place...).

Re: The Taproom

I think my horse can take care of himself. I've been busy all over Rohan and it is sometimes hard to make it up to the Pony to catch a break, so it is good to be here for a bit. This round is on me! wink

If anyone is still sober enough to wander by Master Samwise's Gallery there are a couple of images in there that may take someone's fancy big_smile.

My cup is still empty! Where is that bartender? He should be around here somewhere. Well, should I reach behind the counter for my own refill? tongue

Yes, just serve yourself. Who knows where he is. Nob might be in the stables or chasing his cat...

Re: The Taproom

Sorry, I couldn't find Bob and had to feed that d**n horse myself. I'll see to your mug now.

Now I must just dash off and see what shennanigans are happening over on the Fellowship front. It was all squirrels and trolls when I last looked...

Re: The Taproom

So who's paying? The Pony isn't a charity, you know. I needs a few coiny things every once in a while. Otherwise there's some doo-doo shifting required in the stable.

Re: The Taproom

Do you take squirrels or trolls as payment? If you train them well they could do the doo-doo shifting for you and Nob could look after the guests and the tap.

Re: The Taproom

There's a thought. The only problem is that Mithril don't accept trolls or squirrels as legal tender, which is why I need the occasional coiny thing in order to buy their figures.

Re: The Taproom

Oh, I understand. OK then, you can have some of these coiny things and I pay for my friend the Marshal of the Mark too. (Better then doo-doo shifting)

Re: The Taproom

*plonks some coins down*

Oi, Barkeep, drink!

I've just spent the last hour or so painting. The hour before that involved doing battle with super glue and five minute epoxy. Result - Imrahil is nice and put together. Thranduil was and then his new base found itself on some half dry glue and the base was wrenched off. Considering how restless my mood is, this is not a happy result.

Imrahil is...bloody amazing though. I hope to have him done by Monday (be away for the weekend) to show off to you all. I'm just wondering if I have the financial wherewithal to get a second Imrahil. It's just that good.

Re: The Taproom

Huuooommmm .... since I called in here the last time all matters are about liquids and coiny things, meseems .... huooomm ... well, and those weird tabs to buy .... hom ... I was busy for some days to sort out things ... rhuoommmm ... that's why I opened two new threads at the GF-board trying to find answers about some matters .... hom ... rhuomm ...
Alas, Master Barliman, as you know I'm still a bit short of that coiny things you're so keen of ... rhuoommmm ... must be rare things you're asking for ... huoommm ... so I would like to keep to my way of balancing the bowls of clear clean water I use to consume within these nicely decorated premises with rumours or facts .... huoommm ... last night The Man told me that he has been extremely busy for a long time now to catch up with his backlog of Ms figures but by now is up to February ... rhuomm ... hom ... a hard-working and busy Man he is ...

Re: The Taproom

Indeed.

We know, of course, that the Dol Amroth gentlemen are imminent, but did he happen, perchance, to provide any up-to-date information regarding the whereabouts of the long-awaited (two years...) Easterlings? They must certainly hold the record by now for the longest-awaited M range ever!

Re: The Taproom

I want to ask, is the Dol Amroth series all mounted figures? As I recall the Easterling series is all mounted right? Can't wait till both are released! cool

No, the Dol Amroth range isn't just horsemen, it includes dudes on foot.

Re: The Taproom

I should have added that, so far as I can remember (and as you may have heard, my memory isn't all that it might be), there are five foot figures and five ahorse. The tree at the other end of the bar might be able to confirm that.
