there is a C.Tubb stamp on it though...
as there are with PM1 PM2 and soon the PI1 and next...
oh and about PI1... here it is, PI1 : Cuchulain (it is the first of a full Irish Iron Age series that is to be released soon under the "Phaeton range", If that does not generate a problem with Mithril (I mean Lars here...) I may eventually use my site to promote and reference all the "Phaeton" range.... I will create a special "phaeton range" in my database.
I suppose they will be sold on a "buy it now" basis on ebay?![]()

Yes, but NO Mithril!
Thats my point!

I like P11!

Offline
that's PI1 not P11
this stands for "Phaeton Iron Age 1"
this will be dissociated from "Phaeton Mi..niatures 1 & 2"

Holy s .##: t ! I think this will be too much for my aching heart today. Neither that there is this soccer match of my lovely Argentinians against these Germans,
nor there is this overfantastic super-miniature . . . W O W !!!!!
God bless the Man´s skill !!!!!

Huoommmm ... if I remember well, Padraig Sarsfield was Irish, too, and is a Mithril Christmas figure .... huoommm ... Cuchullain in those old tales was Irish ... huoomm ... nevertheless the way The Man sculpts the figures is very close, or even the same, as his Dunlendings with their Celtic appearance ... rhuoommm ... you also can find that "Celtic touch" with his "Teutoburger Wald" series, though the figures are 52mm ... huoomm ...
Master Gildor, I think it's a very good idea to add that "Phaeton range" in your database ... rhuooommmm ... very good idea, indeed .... huom

Ahem ... rhuoommm ... Master Rita.de, about that beautiful italian-background-third-generation-in-germany-living-dark-haired-slim-girl-wearing-high-heels being ... huoomm ... are you sure about those high-heels? ... no rooty feet? ... huoomm

well to distinguish Irish (historical) heroes from those who are rather myths&legends ones (which we can see in 54mm in Edman collection for most of them) the Man calls them "Irish Iron Age"
there should be, I suppose, Cuchulain, Queen Medb, Morgan Le Fey, Etain, Emer, Branwen or others, but in 32mm this time, but i think our innkeeper can provide some insight and information about this

This PI1 is beautiful figure... reminds me on LR8 - Cirdan, the bearer of Narya but in different clothes... I will definitely buy it and I hope it will be enough copies for all of us... maybe will be interesting Master Gildor to send us information when this figure will be on eBay or when it will be possible to buy her directly from Chris.... seems that you are on source of all informations....
And for all Germans on our Forum... doesn't relevant what you are thinking about your national football team... but you are stuff up Argentina today... so congratulations !

well, the Man was sceptical on the fact the PI range might interest people I suppose that if I tell him that there are already willing buyers, it will please him and we can figure out ways to release them to satisfy everybody....
eventually if he has time he may even come here and see your feedback personnaly (I remind you he is among us
)

Well, I have to say that the Man´s work is simply incredible! I will by everything from him-nearly!
But this phaeton iron age for sure!!!!!!
Tell him this please, Gildor!

I'd be in for the mythical Irish as well; sounds very promising ... hopefully, Queen Medb will look more sinister (and plainly spoken: better) than the figure from EC ...
Offline
...so if is Chris skeptical about how to sell his PI range.... for a first step you could give him our e-mail addresses so he could make his own mailing list ( you have all those informations ) and he could send those figures to us directly. I'm sure that all of those will be beautiful. I hope only that the prices will be 10 - 15 GBP as a PM2 and not to much astronomical.... perhaps price as MS regular figure will be acceptable 19,95 Euros is around 15 GBP...

Huoooommmmm ... as our Master Gildor pointed out already, The Man is here sometimes, so he will read and know about our interest for those figures .... rhuuoomhuom ... so, let's wait and see about further developments and let us not haste, please ... huoommm ... I do remember well times in the past when discussion was emotionally heated with more and more suggestions about matters we cannot influence ... rhuoommm ... so I'd like to advise to stay calm .... huom

Huoommmm ... that squirrel that is used to run around and upon me boughs and twists said the same as the dark raven this morning ... it's over ... rhuoomm ... no more rare Mithrils on Ebay ...
a robin told me, "I will no longer be selling any of the old and valuable Mithril items on Ebay ..."
actually I don't know where that robin came from, but he must have heard something ... huoomm ... nice bird that is ... huoommmmmmmmmm

Bad tidings for many of us, I suppose ... was it a black squirrel, with red eyes?
Offline
Huoomm ... no, it wasn't, Master Protozeus, not at all ... rhuoomm ... now I do remeber, it was the horse's mouth ... huoommm ... rhuoommm ... you might regard this as bad tidings, as you said ... huom ... I do not ... huomm ... as I still regard my pieces of metal given to me by The Man as something special, a gift .... nothing to be pirated ... ggrrrrrrrrrrhhuooooooommm ... there will be consequences, if you would try to believe ... rhuoomm ... I cannot say more about this matter, as I think I'm not allowed to do so, and so I will not .... grrrruooohhmm ... just believe me that there's someone who is very angry .... huoommm ... and it's not only me, the tree ... huooooooom

I remember a time in the past when "someone" was REALLY angry and sad at the same time...
it was during the sale of a special 1988 Aragorn which reached more than 1000GBP... I was a witness of this sadness and anger...

I don't know the story (it must have been brewing day). Do you mean someone actually paid £1,000 for it? I support a charity that could survive for a week on that kind of money. I sometimes think the world is a mad place.
Offline
someone paid for it £1000 yes (1600€ or so) ... I actually was the "other bidder" ... I was a fool back in that time... but...
... Luck was with me this day... I did NOT win.... this was ridiculous... I hope it will never happen again... Hopefully the guy was a TRUE collector as this figurine has never appeared on ebay again afterwards...
it is only lately that piracy seems to have increased...

Master Barliman,
After such discussions, I need a full keg of finest spirit please.

You and me both. Let's see who can drink who under the table first. Admittedly it's only a hobbit table, but what the heck.

I leave you the kick off advantage then.
