Re: The Taproom

I expect that if you ask you'll still get the "double" discount - I certainly did when I missed out on a figure by a couple of weeks a while back and asked nicely.

Re: The Taproom

Huuoommmm ... having had a look at the latest developments ... rhuuooommm ... there's a lot of haste in releasing new tiny-metal-things ... huom ... quite a lot have appeared lately ... and even more are announced ... ahem, this is a point where I do not regard haste as something negative, you know ... rhuoommm ... ohh, and by the by, I think that quality did not decline at all with these developments ... huoommm ... it's just very nice to witness this ... huuuuooommm

Damnit, I was vaguely hoping to get a double-figure discount on "my" bard. smile

Ah well.

Means the Lady will be out by October, by the looks of things, though.

Re: The Taproom

I think "fresh scrumpy" is actually a contradiction of terms. At least, it is in the Pony.

Re: The Taproom

I see you were hasty after all, Master Ent - you certainly got here some time before I did. But I had to stop on the way and stir the scrumpy barrel to break up the green crust that was forming on the surface. (It's not mould, you understand, just artificial colouring. Honest.) If you want another bowl of water, by the way, you could help yourself from the bucket that I put under the hole in the roof where the rain's been coming in. There's been rather too much rain lately and the bucket is rather full - and it's been remarkbly cold too. Why, we even had a hailstorm the other day - in August!

Re: The Taproom

Huuoooommmm ... it's autumn, Master Barliman, isn't it? ... huom ... as for your offer about free water from that bucket ... ahem ... well, thank you, the water seems to have been  fine and fresh once ... rhuoommm ... but it had to pass the leak in the roof ... huooom ... but you might remember that I like clear-clean water, not that one with all them spider webs and other ingrediences in it ... huom ... nevertheless, I honour your generosity ... hom

Re: The Taproom

August is not autumn, Master Ent! Autumn doesn't begin until the autumn equinox, which isn'tu until 23 September. I thought a tree would know that sort of thing! It's still supposed to be summer at the moment, though with all the leaves blowing from the trees outside you wouldn't think so.

Re: The Taproom

Huoommm ... I do know well, Master Barliman, and I am always aware of those equinoxies and full moons ... huom ... though ... September is a strange word that you used .... huooommm ... ah well, I got it now .... huoomm ... that means 7, right?  .... huoomm ... though ... that might include that Christmas will be in 3 months, in Decem? ... alas, I've never been good at calculating nor at guessing the right meaning of words, so to say ... rhuoommm ...
The only thing I can confirm is that many leaves are leaving their trees ... rhuooommm ... but that might also be caused by some windy-matters ... huoommm ...
Huom ... when I came here to the Pony two days ago I saw them horses in the meadow standing in a flood of what once was a brooklet and that covered them until their bellies ... huoommm ...
soaking wet, they said ... huom ... someone said it was about 190 l/m² within 24 hours ... rhuoomm ... quite a lot, isn't it. ... so better keep your premises, backyard, and stables dry ... huom ... oh, I forgot to mention that I took them doormats upstairs as they aren't of any use at the moment ... huoooommmm ... I do hope that was correct ... hooooommmm

Re: The Taproom

Huom ... oh, our dear Master Caster decied to get out of bed ... rhuoomm ... obvioulsy because he still wants to enjoy the summer ... rhuoommm ... as for that green tongue, Master Hsf62, why not try the recipies Master Gavin suggested to get rid of some primer ... huooomrhuoomm ... I guess it might also work with the layer on your tongue ... huom ... just an idea, of course ...

Drinks all round! I'll add the cost to someone else's tab...Who's the richest person here? I think it was Master Shadyt who said he bought multiples of the MS figures when he liked them, so we'll let him pay.

The won´t surely not release two miniatures a month. And they will have certain reasons to justify it . . .
Though I have to say that I would really liked it !

Re: The Taproom

Officially The Man has the casting vote when there's a tie. Mind you, I'm not sure whether it has ever happened before. Where's the Elf when you need him? - or, come to that, the Tree? This is the sort of information they have at their finger (or twig) tips.

But don't be surprised if all of a sudden the number of votes inexplicably changes so that there's no longer a tie - that has happened before.

Of the two I'd prefer Mauhur, as being a named character, and as should be known by now I always prefer real Tolkien characters. But we shall see.
