Blimey, I'd best keep an eye open for the post - a shame he didn't come a couple of months ago he could have visited Kenya and seen some Oliphaunts and other things .
I will post when he arrives

Well here are a few images of Master Elrond getting to know some of his companions for the near future:
First we have an 'in-progress' shot of Gildor and the Elves which will feature the scene from the book.
Elrond with some painted figures waiting for scenes to be put in.
Can you see him amongst all this lot?
Just in case he misbehaves, the pet werewolf will keep an eye on him
A relative of Master Theobald.
Excuse the dust please
In the hands of Sauron!
Keping out of the way of the nasty orcses.
More to follow when he gets out and about

woaw master daines, your collection of tolkien related merchandise besides mithril is quite impressive
but please let Elrond breath some air a bit too he likes some fresh air too (I know that the english fog often forbids so much sunny days but on a day, take him a little trip with you
in the meantime, quite nice pictures with all your little diorama projects, yest, quite impressive! but I think the pictures would be better in the art gallery, on a thread like the one I created for his travels here

hmmm ... rhuoomm??? ... huom ... absolutely wonderful pics ... thanks, David ... but after that our good-old-travelling-Elrond needs another rest and after that, as our Elf said, some fresh air ... and maybe even a tree to rest beneath ...
thank you for the wonderful pictures !!!

It was raining today (as it often does here ), so he couldn't go out to play today, but hopefully Friday he can visit London to see some sites.
I have to admit I was going to post the pictures in the special gallery, but I seem to recall when I originally tried to post older images there I couldn't. Do you have the guidance for doing so Gildor?

there is a lot of interesting figures in your room ( rhooooooomm ) .... it is nice to see those collection David... how could you keep your nice dog away from all this dissipated figures .... and your beautiful dioramas....too
and about the rain.... only important fact in this case is that you must have watertight roof

well david, there should not be a problem now. I just meant writing your posts in the art gallery section, but I think you have access to it , if you did not last time you tried

Love those pics David. I too once went through a phase of 'Garage kits' in the mid and early '90's. I still indulge once and a while, too, along with the occasioal super-detailed WWII kit in 1/35 scale. But I have mostly confined my excessess to LOTR related minis these days. Sanding resin can harm you! I know their are other modellers here too...

I do dabble quite a bit still with the Garage Kit scene Ken - kinder on the eyes when painting a figure 12" tall rather than 1" .
They were why I had a big gap of collecting Mithril stuff though fortunately I have filled in the gaps I want to fill in my mithril collection. I now seem to specialise in Predator kits, but I do have a soft spot for the odd werewolf or two

But where on earth do either of you find the space to store them, that's what I always wonder? I have difficulty enough finding a home for my 6,000 or so wargame figures and accsssories!

Now that is the million dollar question Barli, the sad answer is with great difficulty nowadays, and on a 'fools crusade' I collected 95% of the Sideshow WETA releases of which the majority are stored in their boxes in the loft where I can really enjoy them . One of my madder moments I have to say and one that will not be repeated if the Hobbit movie ever gets made, but I do have a couple of the Sideshow equivalents of M16 which would now pay for a few rounds of scrumpy if I sold them.

Most of them would, I imagine, and they weren't exactly inexpensive when they first came out. That and the fact that I wouldn't be able to house them (or myself if I'd bought them...) dissuaded me from forking out for any, superb though they were.

I have question for Master Elrond.... what's new in Master David House.... I'm sure that there are many interesting friends to visit.... ….just send us short information about your new friendships you've find there... so we could know... enjoy dear Elrond….

Well Master Elrond has visited a horse racing meeting (Yawn!!!! ), has been up to London a couple of times and made two (failed) attempts to visit Rivendell where Elven spells thwarted my attempts to find it (no I am not going soft upstairs there is a town with some Tolkien named streets).
I think he is now ready to continue his journey now so if the next person on the list PM's me your address he can be sent on his way.
I will of course post the remaining pictures.
