We're certainly all four-letter words of some sort or another. Except Nob, who's only big enough to be a three-letter word.

I share your thoughts Master Estele... I need also something for this frustrations... like for example possibilities to be chosen figure for 19,95 Euros "Warg leader" in this MS GF voting round
Offline
... that's why I don't suggest "common" ideas to the GF ranges... but this debate has happened many times already... you'd have to convince those who suggest them... who will say "better to have it in GF than to not have it at all, considering the lack of regular releases".... what can you say against that... nothing...

If we only suggest rare ideas, they'll be original but no one will vote for them. Common ideas at least have the chance of creating some support.
Of course, the "sweet spot" is a familiar idea that might be presented in some unique fashion.
But once again, the rider might be an M-series type suggestion...that may never get an M-series. There's only four "wolf riding" mithrils floating around that I know of. Two are long out of production. One was a special offer which is sometimes common on Ebay, and sometimes not common at all.
Frankly, I think this will be a lovely model and we'll be very pleased to paint him up.

it appears gentlemen, that lately the newsletter is rather posted in the taproom than in your emails lol

May I post a picture of that orc for those who haven´t received the newsletter yet and to make up their mind to follow Master Estel or not . . . ![]()

Well, I guess he may 'only' be a wolf-rider, but he's a rather nice one. Like Master Gavin, I look forward to painting him. And unlike most 'specials' I may very well take advantage of Mithril's 'second figure' discount on this occasion.

I agree to you, Master Barliman. Just thought the same and I was positively surprised about the orc´s under-lip !!!!
Much better than the "mighty-wolf"-rider from that salute event . . .

Huoommmm ... still I don't comment about figures I cannot touch with my hands and eyes ... rhuom ... as for that salute-wolf-rider it still is a wonderful figure to me ... huoomm ... still best of them four ... alas .. hooommmm ... though in terms of proportion the latter one seems to ride a warg and this one now seems being ridden by a warg ... rhuom ... if you know what I mean ... huooooommm ... anyway ... there might be imps riding doormats ... but that's another matter ... rhuoommm ... cheer up, lads, as autumn passes winter-time is coming up ... huom ... time for painting in candle light ... rhuoommmmm ... or so ...

Huoomm ... sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm back again ... huom ... never mind, Master Barliman, you can keep mine bar tabs further on, so don't worry, please ... huooommm ...

Welcome back, Master Tree. I hope the autumn sun was pleasing up in the North?

Huoommm ... yes, Master Barliman, it was until last Friday ... huoomm ... but by now it doesn't seem better in Bree ... rhuoommm ... so what about one bowl of that clear-clean-non-sparkeling-honey-coloured-liquid that I do prefer ... huoommm ... topped-up, please ... yes ... thank you ...
ahh, and another bowl of that liquid for our Elf ... rhuoommm ...

You haven't missed a lot, Master Marshal. Just me serving drinks and none of my customers paying for them. So everything is much as it was when you last dropped in.
A propos nothing in particular, I took advantage of the Mithril '27% off everything' deal a week or so back to get a few of the MS figures I hadn't got, and in consequence of them arriving yesterday I have a question. Why is Bolg's standard-bearer a midget? I thought the 'fighters' of Bolg's bodyguard were supposed to be orcs of great size (and that's the story 'narrator's' - i.e. Tolkien's - description, not Bilbo's, so it's got nothing to do with their relative size compared to a guy who's four foot nothing)! But this guy is the smallest orc that Mithril has ever produced, so I was wondering if there was a reason. Any suggestions?

The standard has got a lot of weight and pushed him into the ground, or it's a freshborn orc, still growing
Maybe you should water him a bit and put fertiliser in the water too....

Nice story, Master Estel, but "not as sure as Shire-talk", as they say in the colonies.
Anyone got any alternative theories? - by which I mean theories not invented after four pints of draught scrumpy and a packet of crisps.
Offline
He might be small because he could also be a wolf rider in a future release. The wolfriders have been on the small end of the orc scale.
Offline
You have an optimistic imagination, Master Shadyt, but there's no reference to any part of Bolg's bodyguard being wolf-riders; nor does it seem likely that his standard-bearer would be smaller than the other members of his guard. And if you could 'dismount' and straighten-up the wolfriders amongst the Mithril range, they're not small anyway! So the diminutive size of this figure still remains a mystery.

Huoommm .... definitely that's one of them "snagas" who was running away from the battle field, once he was able to hold up the banner he found with the slain standard-bearer ... rhuoommm ...
he shouted out, "Run, all of you, who are of Bolg's company" ... huom ... though he ran in the wrong direction and them orcs obediantly followed the snaga, as he tried to wave some flag he captured ... rhuoommm ... so that's what settled some part of the 'Battle of the Five Armies' ... huommm ... though I'm not sure about this, as it was long time ago and I really cannot recall each and every thing .... rhuoommm .... huom ... can you? ... rhuooommm... I'm not even sure if snagas were part of Bolg's army .... huoomm ...
see, you shouldn't ask an End about those old matters ... huommm ... as far as I know
Offline
If I can't ask an End, thank Eru I can ask an Ent. Good story, Master Tree, and worth yet another free drink.
