Re: The Taproom

well maybe it's no mystery that Grond is not a member there ... it has been quite some times he has been among those "promoting" the regulars are GF suggestions... he was among the first to do so... and has got some people to do the same in the months after....

well sorry Thingol if I hurt you in any way... smile

CHEERS!

Well, that are these nice little critters that have seen a renaissance since the mid-1990s after a period of near-extinction in the developed world. In the past few months they have received quite some media coverage. Have a look for Cimex lectularius at Wikipedia (good summary there; or in german - Bettwanzen...)

Thanks for the kind reception. And the "lady" is only a pseudonym with a male face behind it... wink It's a long story of a beloved Pen-and-Paper RPG character of mine smile

Re: The Taproom

I'd like to point that Chris aknowledged the suggestion of the Grey Company... and will now work on it... it is not the right place to speak about that so I'll go to Angrenost section for further details...

I have also other details concerning ... TWO possible Balrog (the one for the MS... and a future one which was a prototype for this MS but he intends to release too later...) many news on Chris side... that's not like Lars...

Not at all like him.

And by the way, what's wrong with bed-bugs? They feel quite at home with Nob, who is much like them in his habit of being constantly found in bed.

And there is a free drink for Master Tolwen (er, doesn't sound right, does it?) on the bar. If you don't want to have to lick it off the bar, I'll find a glass to put it in as soon as I can.

Re: The Taproom

well... master "Rita" (for Christoph) does feel odd too now that you think of it... it has always been odd for me anyway, maybe there is an explanation behind this odd nickname "rita.de" smile
if you wanna change it btw master Christoph, just ask, I can change it smile

Then I'll get to secure that drink - from a glass *lol* And the *Master* Tolwen is something I have grown accustomed to wink

Oh, BTW Gildor. Would you (or Chris or whomever else) be interested in provide a miniature-centered article in Other Minds (see my signature)? I was just thinking of it. Roleplaying and minis have such a long history of co-existence and -evolution that it seems natural to have some mini-related content (and then Mithril!) in a Tolkien-focussed RPG magazine smile

Cheers

EDIT: Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. Auch von den deutschen Kollegen smile

Re: The Taproom

mmmmh, that "unsymphatical" nickname . . .
The story behind this is: it is the former ebay-nick name of my wife. In times of no-computer-at home ( yes, this time existed) I visit her at her working place at university.
And I bought via her ebay account douzen of mithrils.
After a long time I decided to join this main board as "Turambar". I recognized, that there are many ebay-sellers members there. So I changed " Turambar" in "rita.de" hopefully being recognized by them. But that didn ´t happen . . . roll
Meanwhiling I spent my time gladfully here, on MMP and not there, on the main board . . .
So- what would you think fellows. Should "rita.de" move to" Turambar" ???? ( I LOVE the tale of Turin!)

The problem: Turambar is no Archer of Mirkwood . . . roll And I like that . . .

We could have a poll: Rita.de ´s new name . . . roll

Re: The Taproom

but Beleg is wink

as for your proposition Tolwen i am sure Chris would be more than enthusiast about an article, and me too smile but I can't speak for Chris I can only suggest him to contact you on this matter or I can be the middle man...

but if you want to promote MMP indeed I can be a "voiceman" , this community is not my own.. i am only hosting it smile

I am also in regular contact with Wolfgang Penetsdorfer who manages the international community and worldwide events of the MECCG card games (for which mithril miniatures are very well fit for... I even used mithril for this game (see the thread about MECCG middle earth the wizards for more info)

(NB : I should learn german....)

Beleg, yes- a strong character, and a marvellous figure also- but can´t we say, Turambar is a Mirkwood elf ???

That sounds like a good start. You (and Chris) may have a look at our previous Issues to get an impression of what our focus is (I know we are a bit lacking in game-related stuff but plan to address that). We already had one article about Mithril minis, but of course there is so much more potential. Be it RPG-related, díoramas, scuplting, use for gaming or just scholarly. Everything is fair game.

My email should be well-known (almost every Issue has it mentioned at least once *g*), but in case Chris misses it he can just ask me smile

Cheers
Tolwen
