Re: The Taproom

Master Gildor, I guess you won the jack pot! At least regarding the additional workload you put upon yourself.
Very impressive! Your drinks go on my tap! smile

Re: The Taproom

I saw we are now 4 moderators, at least one for each language! this is really cool!

I have to mail Michael to add some last corrections to the "schema" . I don't think it is useful to have ALL the former years fellowship archives being displayed one by one inthe first page they should be put as subboards of an 'archive' single main board.
Also, Michael did not use the functionnality that requires being a member to see some forums... Indeed there is Gold Fellowshim which is password protected, but other parts of the forum should at least require a registration... this would lead mithril to have also more members coming and gather their emails for future communication via newsletters...

this is a key of communications.... building up user directories with emails for mass mailings...

Re: The Taproom

One of the principal reasons that MMP remains busy is that you can subscribe to the topics and receive emails whenever anything is posted. Will this facility become available on the Mithril site? It would be a shame if it can't be.

Re: The Taproom

the possibility to "markup" to receive mails when there are new posts seems to exist, but as moderator I can't see how it is implemented... it is the work of the administrator

also, one should know that Proboards (the forum used by Mithril) are third-party service hosted forums... the forums physically are not owned (neither the code, nor the hosting) by Mithril...
It is very different from here... Though PunBB is an already built-in forum, it is hosted on a site I have full control upon and I can modify every single file.... Michael cannot and is restricted to what is offered to him by proboards...

it would be cool to ask him about that as mithril concerns... the english general suggestion may be agood place for that. (to begin with)

Re: The Taproom

Huoommm ... I do know, Master Gildor ...

so all I can say is "Hail, Mithrandir, founder of Many Mithril Pages" ... wherever you might be now, hail to thee, Marc ... rhuoommmm...

another is:

"Many thanks to Gildor Inglorion who took up all the burdon (and some coiny things having to be spent) by himself to continue Marc's ideas of an MMP" ... lettuce (incorrect language)  thank him with
another one:

"Cheers, Gildor!"

May I please be allowed to ask all of you old-and regular-ones to cheer for Gildor as for that what he's done (so far)? Please join me in that, please ...

Re: The Taproom

It may be Imisel from the Official boards actually who knows, I invited her/him here

but first let me tell you I am VERY VERY happy about the new Official board structure.. it was done almost entirely as I suggested it myself... and I'm glad to see I was right, in a single day there have been more posts in this forum than there has been in a year!
I started many threads over there to motivate and attract people!
I really think there were many threads in the Gold Fellowship that could have been made on the public section, thus making the whole forum breathe some fresh new air....
The Gold Fellowship should really focus on GF matters only as it was meant so but the forum was not , until now, built to receive many of those discussions... it now can!

He isn´t Imisel.  Imisel is spanish and gonzales.trevor says in his profile that his name is James and works in New Jersey wink
Welcome anyway, gonzales.trevor!!! smile

Great work you're doing all those involved in the remodeling of the Mithril Web! Others try to take the momentum it deserves. smile
