Hello everybody, this is a call for you diorama/battleground builders ...
As you know, a part of this site hosts a "mithril gallery" (I don't mean this forum indeed but the image gallery with the travelling elrond, the uniques, and the collector's galleries)
I have updated many pictures recently in this gallery but by lack of time I could need your assistance.
If you have pictures of dioramas or battleground that you want to see displayed in the gallery, please gather them all in zip files or attachments and send them at my email
(Thingol, Rita.de, Milo have already done so... but others can do the same) it will be easier for me to treat the pictures then...
Please remind that the mithril gallery is for Dioramas AND/OR conversions only.... pictures of singles references can still be used but inside the mithril database (as lower left corner pictures for each reference sheet)
Thank you!

I once tried to provide some pics of conversions I started to collect some time ago. That was in the 'Mathom House'. There might be some more soon that could be added. But I don't know if that meets the interest of your query.

well it does, for the purpose of the "conversions" section... but if they are to be put in the gallery, I'd prefer a mail with all the pictures to be published for display so that I can directly send them to the gallery...
I have found out that it takes quite some time and painful techniques to extract pictures from the forum, to reimport them in the gallery afterwards and though I have nothing against having some of them in both places (mathom house/art gallery of samwise or the mithril gallery) in order to publish them it would be easier to send them in attachmetns in emails
Offline
(you're not forced to give them all at one single time you can send parts.... and other parts later

I must check your email address Gildor as I had the UP email with the images 'bounced' back to me when I sent it yesterday, may be my clumsy fingers, or my eye sight
I will retry tonight.

I have a bunch of half-orc conversions. I will try to get pictures in the next few days.

I managed to take 2 pictures of my primed Christmas 2010. As only 20 have no antique finish, I feel this primed one may be unique !
I just sent these pictures for your Database master Gildor.

Mine is primed and unnassembled out of that 20.

Now that seems to have become pure anarchy in providing the releases. - Anyway, I don't mind.
Consider that this could be done each and every day. - I'm just laughing because those 20 seemed to be provided in various stages of priming and assembling.
Those good-old 50 Thranduils were more carefully provided, methinks.
Don't get me wrong, please. I have settled my mind with laying a hand on each and any Mithril release. - Though ... sometimes ... err ... you know, don't you?

well, with all those last years oddities about "special" releases (primed, unprimed, assembled un-assembled, antique finished and all) I have come to consider less and less important the fact a figurine exists in its primed or unprimed version...
beginning with the old Christmas ones... there seems to be so many odditiies about promotional figurines...
MA1 in antique finish, in primed version.... Chr1993 antique finished, unprimed or primed etc etc... for example, my own Chr1993 Isildur is primed... which is odd as besides mine I have not seen any that are primed...
and the Chr1988 Aragorn with the Palantir , who's supposed to be primed too... (if we consider the only "official picture" we have from it (from ebay) is supposed to be primed... but mine is antique finished.... lol

I have unprimed Chr1993 and it looks great, and about Lord of Khand, seems that companies is doing once again some small mistakes, but I will for sure buy unprimed one with antique finish version, but I will buy them once when company release some of the other MS miniatures...

Master Tree, you have spoken out of my mind directly once more! Absolutely!!!

Well, There might be some wrong thoughts here.
My Christmas2010 was primed on my request for painting purpose and because I have always prefered the primed versions as an old fan.
And I received it unassembled. I took the pictures once the right arm was glued by me.
Sorry, I should have told you about this.

(besides, and in case some of you might not know) Mithril is actually selling their grey primer aerosol in order to prime figurines all by yourself
I don't know if the aerosol they are currently selling is the one used for the Old nasty slimy primers or the new one that is perfect but from what I heard if used correctly this primer is great and is not slimy and rather allows from better paint fixations (like the old "slighly sandy" grey primer)
(you can see it at the very bottom of their paintings line of products : http://mithril.ie/Paints/index.html under reference av28011)
I should order a bomb to test it...
