Re: Old and New Mithril converted

What is the best tool for cutting a figure in half at the waist? That looks like a very clean cut!

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

I think personally to use a small hacksaw. I have never done this, but it is used to cut metal anyway. You probably would still need to file the parts afterward.

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Gentlemen, you have to use an electric micro-drill machine and something like a small cutting disc.  cool

Correct Master Archer. (Dremel Proxon)
I also posted a pic from some tools I use previously where you can see the sawblade I cut it with.

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Master shadyt, the cutting discs for steel are not quite the right thing. because of the high speed they more or less melt the lead and it will stick to the disc which then in turn doesn't cut anymore.hmm
The blade I use has got teeth like a saw blade for timber.

Master Caster,
In your picture above, do you use the one on the far left, 2nd row from the bottom?

That's the one Master shadyt. The one next to it on the right hand side is one of the most used! tongue

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

My favorites in the above conversions are the two M45's.(orc with axe) I can't convert with that figure as I only have one of them.

Well, Master shadyt, this orc was on ebay the last times quiet often. Also for a moderate price . . .
Did you miss him . . . ?

Yes, I missed him. I have overspent on miniatures this year, so I try not to look very often to see what is available.
