I think personally to use a small hacksaw. I have never done this, but it is used to cut metal anyway. You probably would still need to file the parts afterward.

Gentlemen, you have to use an electric micro-drill machine and something like a small cutting disc. 
Maybe the magic was the most powerful force in the world. But that was long ago.

I also posted a pic from some tools I use previously where you can see the sawblade I cut it with.

Master shadyt, the cutting discs for steel are not quite the right thing. because of the high speed they more or less melt the lead and it will stick to the disc which then in turn doesn't cut anymore.
The blade I use has got teeth like a saw blade for timber.

That's the one Master shadyt. The one next to it on the right hand side is one of the most used!

My favorites in the above conversions are the two M45's.(orc with axe) I can't convert with that figure as I only have one of them.
