Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Wow Master Nicolai what a offer, thanks! Much appreciated, but at this point in time I can't accept it. The guys are far from being ready for paint....roll

The hurricane should hit further north. It would be better if it wouldn't hit at all and I prey that nobody gets hurt if it hits the cities further north!

Master Milo, these guys look not bad at all. I've been searching for camel on ebay for a while now, but couldn't find the right ones so far. Do you own these camels? If yes could you take a pic of them with a M73 next to it?  We do have 2 camels in the Mithril range and if the size is to small, I rather convert the Mithril  camels to what I had in mind.

The best thing regarding camel I've found so far is the following:

And this set up (camel with two riders) will be for sure a part of this diorama! cool

I'm very much looking forward to convert the MS468 to suit this purpose!

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Master Ent, you wrote you do have 10 - 3 = 7 converted riders. it took me a while to find the pictures again you posted. Yes, they are well done, but I don't think you do have doubles of them or do you?

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

I do possess 2 of these camel + 1 poney. I don't know if it is Ral partha or not. I will check and provide you some pics tonight.

Regarding scales, I thinks these are 28mm, not to far from mithril ones for sure.

And this camel with 2 riders...I am just completely astonished by its clothes painting ! I wish I have the time & skills to do such fantastic work

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Don't give up Master Estel, no scale given, but I believe it was at least a  80mm figure. You wouldn't be able to paint this in a 32mm scale, otherwise I would enjoy eating a broom!tongue

Thanks Master shadyt, I'll have a look! wink

Master Cameosis, it was a auction on ebay not a site. So these are the only pics I have.

Ebob´s camels are too small ! There are three diferent ones.
Why? I posses them! cool

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Master Caster, here is a picture showing the camels scale:
Click to close

Cameosis is right, these are Ral Partha ones (1988).
As you can see, scale is smaller but bundles and other stuff shall fit correctly with a mithril one.
I can provide both camles & the pony also, for casting (Holger), or collecting (cameosis) purposes.
Just let me know if you want any.

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Thank you very much for the picture Master Milo, but no, they don't fit. In my eyes they look like babies. If I put the same load on a M73 then it is nearly double the size of the RP one. Well well, I guess I have to do unpack my Dremel and other tools, plastic putty and start from scratch....hmm

Does anyone know another company beside Mithril and Reaper producing minis in 32mm scale???

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Archer of Mirkwood, can you post a picture with that eBob camel next to a Ral Partha or Mithril camel? I was considering buying a few and I still might depending on how much smaller they are than the Mithril.

Re: Old and New Mithril converted

Of course, Master Troy. But you have to wait until the weekend.
I bought these camels from ebob exactly for that reason: a Harad-diorama.
There is also a lying camel which I love the most. But it is the same: they are too small. Defenetly and unfortunately.

Unfortunately ebob´s horses are too small as well. That´s a really great pity because the horses are magnificent.
But there is no chance. It is a different scale.

PS: Master Troy, that camel you mentioned is from Mr. Chris Tubb and it is the M73 ! roll
