What could I say except great figure perfectly positioned on great photo. I ordered it recently and I hope that it will be soon in my collection......

how about "originator of midgets"?

I think the setting is just about right master Tree, not too much, not too little. You could perhaps some natural stone columns just to give the appearence of some height to the chamber. I say columns rather than solid wall as the viewer could then look through at the different angles.
Do I notice a skull on the base - I wonder if that is the skull of one of the Nameless Things?

I am seriously considering getting a second Balrog to convert and use with the Gandalf at the Bridge of KD figure as I believe the scale of this Balrog complements the 32mm figures.
I wonder if we will see the other Balrog that Chris gave a glimpse of?

Dear sir:
This Balrog diorama is really OVERFANTASTIC! Absolutely !!!!!!!!!! That means: 100 karma points!!!!
WOW ! Master Tree, you have unexpected qualities !!!!
But: Why didn´t you put it inside " the Art Gallery of Mayor Samweis" with an own chapter??!!! It deserves this.

A Tree of many talents . I am sure it will have a place in Samwise's gallery soon.
I may also have to revise my 'wings'/'no wings' policy on Balrogs as the effect is enhanced by the wings on this one, and it would look 'odd' without them.

Huoommm ... thank you very much for your kind comments ... huomm ... thank you very much indeed .... huom ... so I'll try to put them pics somewhere into Master Sam's gallery ... rhuom ... and yes, Master Ddaines, I also think that BB without wings would be a very poor figure ... huom

Huoommm ... yes, Master Ddaines, that skull and the bones on the base are strange indeed ... definitely non-human, orcish or other we know of ... huom ... the canine teeth rather remind of a sabre-tooth tiger from days of old ... huom ... the size of the eye sockets in the skull rather remind of an insect, though also that doesn't make sense ... rhuoomm ... all I can see is something we don't know or have a name for ... rhuoommm ... that Balrog must have been feasting on that creature a very long time ago meseems .... huoommm ... that was an interesting question you put, Master Ddaines ... huom ...
huom ... and as for the size of BB, it perfectly matches the 32mm scale ... huomm ... I just placed it together with our Gandalf (M500) ... well, you just have to find an idea how to let BB standing upright, giving him a different pose of his arms, adding a scimitar and a whip ...
rhuoommm ...
what I mean is, that's impossible as far as I can judge ... huoommm ... at least for me tree ...

The conversion will be made harder by the way the figure is cast with arms and hands attached to the legs, but with some patience and putty, it can be done methinks

Rather you than me, Master Dave. I can't get on with that green putty stuff.

Don't mention Green Putty Barli , I have never had any joy with that stuff, I'm more of a Magic Sculpt man followed by Miliput if I don't have any of the former.

i object -- it was the younger of the two. the other one still roams free.

How do you tell them apart? One nameless thing looks pretty much like the next nameless thing in the Pony on a Saturday night.

that would imply our colleague balrog had a pint at your place, too ...

Master Ent, You have started a very nice scene indeed. And you make me think thant this Balrog should be ordered very soon.
David, good luck for Khazad' Dûm, this is a long work but greatest scene to achieve. And I know what I am talking about.

All guests and regulars welcome to join me in a beer or three (or scrumpy if you prefer).

I'll join you Dave, but I will have a glass of red wine, ;-)

I assume we're talking birthdays again? You people seem to have them all the time! I gave them up as a bad idea a long time ago. But many happy returns for tomorrow, Master D.
