Re: THE TAPROOM 2

A voice from a dark corner of the Pony says:" Here are some thoughts, and responses to comments above:

1) The reduced pricing is is great news, and came about because Mithril reached out to (or was approached by) an outside company to FINALLY leverage the MEE license in a way to promote Mithril. Perhaps some efforts by certain members paid off. Lars is involved in several businesses, but to my knowledge they are mainly computer related. PA and Mithril are somewhat orphans, it sometimes seems. Still, Lars must care about PA/Mithril and profit from it somewhat or he certainly would not continue these companies.

2) I also would like more details about when we pay for our pre-order and if we order all at once do we have to wait until December for them all to be shipped together?

3) Rumor has it that not only are the HD3 and Easterling prototypes mostly ready, there is also another release "mostly" ready . . . . of course, that's just a rumor.

4) As for the VAT, everyone hates taxes, especially in the US. But we all want security, safe food, air, water, etc . . . ohh, and of course some education, healthcare, pension (social security) and good roads. So, you get what you pay for (minus, of course, the part lost to stupidity, waste and corruption). Still, you really do get what you vote/pay for!

5) it sure would be nice to have an ale, Barli. My mug is dry, and one also for all of the members, I'm going to have a little extra coiny-thing with these prices now ;-)

I have heard the same "rumour". The Easterlings have certainly been "rumoured" to be complete for several years, while The Man has several times over the past couple of years promised to send me pictures of HD3 (though, characteristically, he's never quite got round to it!), so they must indeed be very close to completion, if not entirely finished. As for the third release....hmmmmm.

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

maybe you are a bit fast master milo in case you did not read it, those pictures are not contractual and will soon be replaced by the "official ones" .... and the final result may be different after casting...
well you are still able to modify those pics afterwards if need be?

I for once won't use them to update my database until the final pictures are released smile

Huoommm ... running away is not a part of Entish beings, Master Turambar ... rhuoomm ... they do not haste away at all ... they rather stick to their thoughts ... and contemplate, consider, etc. ... huoommm ... or have you ever witnessed a tree with feet running around in a forest? ...
sometimes trees are very busy, not only cleaning them smelly wargskins in the backyard ... huommm ... though you might complain that I'm not always present in the Pony ... HÛomm? ...
yes, a present there will come soon to all of us ... rhuoommmm ... rhuomours ... hommmm

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Ahhh, rumors!
I met a lot of trees at this very sunny weekend cruising around with this two-wheel-thing, Master Tree!
They told me many things, also rumors . . .

PS: You want to know why I have the ability for understanding what trees are saying?
That has something to do with my extraordinary visit at Master Theobald´s house in the last past . . .

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

rhuoommm ... no, Master Barliman .. not at all  ....  though rhuomours are plenty at the moment, that's why we once, back  in time, called this "Pony"-house a place for facts and rumours, wasn't it like that ... once? ...
and as for you, Master Turambar, I still doubt that you can understand talks of trees ... rhuoommm ... still too hasty you are ... rhuoommm ... that so-called archer might better take a second lesson at my place ..... rgrguomm ... huoommmmm????? ... err
fact is that there will be a catalogue ... rhuomm ... for free, of course .... but I really cannot haste everything ... rhuoommm ....
as for another matter, does anybody know how barkeeps drain bowls ... rhuom

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

urrggghhh ... I always thought that the job of a barkeep is not easy to cope with, though sometimes Master Barliman put me in charge of that whenever he likes to take some holidays ... rhuomm ... I never ever slurped the drains ... arrghhh ... never ... cleaning rotten wargskins might be alright ... err ... even accepting some rat-tails in a bowl of scrumpy might pass ... but ... rhuoomm ... you know what .... hom ... what was it I posted? what's have been going wrong ..... hoommm .... nothing at all ... all went fine and the catalogue soon will be available for free ..... rhuommm ... though I cannot haste everything, as you might know .... huoooomm

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Sorry, Master Tree, you seemed to be asking about bowls, not drains....I certainly don't "slurp" the drains. Or did you mean lavatory bowls? But cleaning them isn't a problem. We don't have any. Characters in LOTR don't seem to use lavatories, so I got rid of ours (I use Nob's bucket if I'm desperate.)

Re: THE TAPROOM 2

Huoommmm ... so that was a wise decision, Master Barliman, as there's a lot of logic behind it ... rhuommm ... and as for trees, you know, we don't need any lavatories ... huom ...

Sorry, kitchen's closed today. I can get you some warg-scratchings (cheaper than pork scratchings), but that's it.
